This is it for rangers. I’m pretty disappointed. 7 more days to see if they make any substantial changes.

Entangle: This skill is now properly affected by the Wilderness Survival trait Wilderness Knowledge.

Lick Wounds: This skill now functions only with ranger pets.

I really hope for some more ranger love soon as well. Particularly weapon updates.
It’s a bummer when your favorite class is getting less focus with updates but I’m sure they’ll get around to us. Guess we aren’t quite as pressing as bigger issues with other classes.

Well I will stick with my 4 sec quickness “kill or be kill” tatic . Best bet for now .
Hope they “fix” the issue that arrows can be dodge easily by target. Which is my primary concern . Also can we ranger have the “bounce” effect thief have on their short bow.

Axe for ranger bounces just like the shortbow does for thief, and shouldn’t give you much trouble with players dodging your shots.

Haha, I am we’ll aware if the axe attack ability, it’s just that I prefer to use a bow since I play a ranger because of that.
Well maybe enabling our arrows to have bounce effect is too much to ask for.
But as I stated , arrows can be dodge so easily which I hope they can have a "target lock " ability for ranger.

One of the skill traits in the marsksman spec line makes all arrows pierce target, enabling one single arrow to pass through and damage 3 targets at once. Not the same as a bouncing arrow, but can equally as effective in the right situation

question, i’m wondering if ranger people have been submitting their thoughts – mainly reporting as bugs to anet? some of those weapon skills and stuff are basically bugs, not functioning as it was quite obviously meant to function. not sure if we’re allowed to do this or if people have done so

You may as well not bother with your ultimatum. Look at the last several sets of patch notes: there are about 10 bug fixes for every balance change.

They’re obviously prioritizing bug fixes for now, and bugs are fixed as the programmers find them, not based on the merit of which class deserves the most “love” at any given time. Trying to gauge whether or not Anet appreciates ranger players based on how many of our bugs they manage to fix each week compared to the other professions is silly.

Thanks for that note, indeed they handle bug fixes first, and its a new game so it will probably be a while before most things get smoothed out. On the other note, they are probably aiming to release new things like new maps or events or something, as a higher priority than class love? Since people have basically beat the game already
