Plot twist:
-This aint Druid reveal but the new elite spec for the revenant, a ranger/druid legend.

It’s definitely a centaur, which makes me think it is most likely NOT the Druid reveal but rather another Revenant legend.

This guy looks like Ventari…

Anet did say 5 legends include Mallyx , King Dwarf, Shiro, Ventari, and Glint.

But they put a quote, ""Life can be painful, but do not fear the trials you will face. Hard ground makes stronger roots", The same way they did with every specialisation reveal….
If its not druid I’ll be very sad.

But it is true the art doesnt inclute the profession colors, pet and doesnt look like a playable race(goat looking face and hair on skin)

Maybe a hint to some kind of merge with pet spec.

It doesn’t wield a staff at all.

Druid cannot be the exception, so this is definitely Revenant’s Legend thingy.

Druid and Ranger don’t even categorize close to one another. Doesn’t make sense as to why people even speculate this.

i guess this is what happens when the hype train is going at full speed. it’s probably got nothing to do with druid, and moreso to do with how the sylvari are going to have a kitten of a time.

Uh. Besides the fact that they kind of do in gw2, there’s the fact that Druid has already been officially announced as Ranger’s elite.

Druids were ancient humans that became incorporeal. Ventari was a centaur. They lived in the same place and had similar values, but not the same.

It doesn’t fit any pattern. All the other specialization have shown the actual specialization. This shows something totally different. It’s anybody’s guess.

(I’ll be suprised if they show a play-able class on an in-playable race.)

None of you can be sure either way … so it’s seems fairly unintelligent to state as a matter of fact whether it is or isn’t.

If people want to be excited about the possibility, it doesn’t harm a thing so let them.
Likewise, those who don’t think it’s the druid reveal, feel free to not get excited.

They have shown 3 elite specializations. Anything they did before with those doesn’t mean they’ll do that for all of them.

Just because it is a centaur doesn’t mean that if it was a druid reveal that they would reveal the druid using a centaur.

It’s a piece of art that is a clue as to what is next. That’s it.

They used a quote from Ventari along with an image of a centaur that looks like Ventari. Seems to be this week is focusing on Ventari specifically.

Plus so far the art for the specializations have all used playable races. It’d be weird to use centaur now.

Am I the only one that sees this is Ventari and the quote is a quote directly off his Tablets? Since Ventari is a hero of the Sylvari race, he’s most likely the next revenant specialization. This has nothing to do with ranger, sorry. The reason for the vines has nothing to do with that druid staff attack, it’s vines from the Pale Tree/sylvari (which he and Ronan planted). It’s most likely going to be a CC heavy revenant spec.

Why cannot they do simple things, like reveal all the existing classes elite specs before going fo the new class at the end, instead of being all over the place with their reveals.

I going with this is a revenant release, I don’t expect to see anything on druid until the very last as it was the first to be announced

If it’s just the revenant then it’s a kitten small reveal. Remember that ventari is not an elite spec. There are no alterations to profession mechanic with this one, no new weapon skills. Just one traitline and 5 skills (heal, 3 utils, elite)

If its a reveal for a new revenant legend, they can also add to the reveal a new weapon and the trait line associated with that spesific legend. Its almost like an elite spec reveal in terms of content.

I have been practising for this by playing Goat Simulator MMO. I conquered the goat pile of Goatshire and I took part in the faction warfare between goats and sheep. I’m prepared. Bring it on, my body is ready.

They still don’t even have a release date. The only way they can keep the hype train running it to dangle dozens of carrots. If they released everything now, it’s likely the general MMO community would forget about HoT by the time it gets here.

Back to the point though. We got the name of the Ranger spec as well as it’s new weapon before anything else. We’re probably going to be last.

Ohhh. I never noticed that. It would be nice to be able to predict the next reveals, even if they keep taking breaks to show us things we care about less.

In the PvP forum there was a video by a couple devs presenting dev stuff to other devs at a conference, and they said “this is about our expansion we’re releasing this summer”. Not a hard date, but at least we know their rough internal deadline. Like they aren’t planning on releasing it for Christmas if everything goes well.

Heal/Support melee staff with a druidic theme, just not on the Druid spec class. This is absolutely hilarious.

Here’s hoping the actual druid spec goes all-in onto spirits in ritualist style then.

I am guessing the Revenant support spec will be super good again. I hope this does not overshadow druids.

Its very good news, it makes our druid more about aoe damage and CC, and perheps buff support. We dont want our druid to be a medic specialization now do we?

It’s already June and they have only revealed 3.5 classes out of 9 so far and most of what we’ve heard about what will be exclusive to the xpac still feels very vague. It might be in Summer but at this rate that will be the exact day before the first day of Fall.

I just ask because the older a video is the less likely it is to being still true today and without a revealed release date/quarter, they could effectively push it back to whatever date NCsoft lets them.
