It would be quite simple to significantly reduce the amount of negative posts and locked threads in this section of the forum. How about some positive feedback from ANET and even the devs as far as what is going on and what they plan on doing to fix the problems? How about a time table? How about anything other than just posting bug after bug after bug and only getting four at a time fixed with no actual solution in sight?

Rangers really start to rage, not only because of stealth nerfs and their lack of power – but because they’re getting completely ignored.

I agree with this. We want some communication and dialogue. And honestly I think that’s the bulk of what we need right now. People have been getting more and more upset not from lack of changes (since god knows patches take time) but from lack of acknowledgment and communication.

Personally I’ve said it before and I’ll say it this one last time. I don’t care how bad Ranger gets, I will always love it. But I can’t stand to play something who’s base effectiveness is becoming a severe limiting factor. It isn’t fun. Yes, one can still be effective with a Ranger but at what cost? Imagine what that effective Ranger could do using something else. I want to have faith in ANet that they will “fix” it but at the same time I’ve become so hard-hearted towards the very notion of hope that they will. All I want is a 3-5 sentence paragraph from a dev that could take all of 5min to write up telling me 1 thing; Their intentions. Don’t Know? That’s fine! Just communicate with us. Feel we are all acting up for no reason? Say so. Why would it be so hard for a message at the end of the day before the lead Dev working on X profession(s) to take 5min before he goes home and just says “Got some testing done today, like/disliked it though so it may/may not need more work.” It doesn’t tell us anything but at the same time it lets every single player out there know that they are not alone.
I always loved ANet for their dedication to their players and how open they were. It was a nice change from Nexon’s literally 0 (no joke) support that’s for sure. I don’t see that at the moment anymore though. Maybe they are all too busy focusing on other issues, that’s fine too, but they need to communicate with us about it. I don’t speak for every single person on this forum but every time I read something angry it’s angry because the players feel betrayed and alienated. The only way to fix that is with communication. Until players start to see that they aren’t going to stop.

If they would just throw a few lines that they are working with it, this forum wouldn’t be a negative pit of doom.

I mean all they have to do is say ya we acknowledge you guys are a bit underpowered we are working on fixing things. Bam instant crowd quelling. But the fact that they are silent means.
A. they dont care
B. they think the profession is just fine, and dont care enough to tell us to kitten off.

There are several posts in this forum section with suggestions and builds as well as complaints. There is a large difference between posting about what is factually wrong with something and being a helpless child.

They said after BWE3 that the ranger pet AI and responsiveness had to be in a good stable condition before the game launched, it wasn’t an option, it had to be that way. Pet F2 skills still didn’t work most of the time three weeks after launch. They seemingly lied about the SB nerf, passing it off as an animation glitch, after it was brought to their attention nothing was heard back from them and patch day has come and gone with no fix or even a line saying it was intended. To top it all off, look at the ranger bug thread. Half of the bugs are because traits don’t bloody do what they say they do. We are over a month into launch and we have traits which simply don’t work or don’t match their descriptions. How hard is it to change the tool tip of your traits or fix the bugs in the traits so that at least players know what they are working with?

Honestly, any kind of open or honest communication from ArenaNet on these issues really is too much to ask for.

Haha, I think we rangers are quite positive and easy going already.

Ranger is in a dark dark place right now. Thus our humor, etc is all dark
