Solar Beam: This skill can no longer be activated without a target.
I would be okay with this IF we could target allies. This is going to be annoying.
Rejuvenating Tides: This skill now has the speed of its healing pulses affected by quickness and slow. The skill’s effects are now properly cancelled if the caster is interrupted.
This going to have an impact for sure. Its been long coming…
Solar Beam change is outrageous. It’s the only auto-attack in-game that requires a target. I feel completely locked gameplay-wise. Change this back, seriously, you have mashed numbers and stuff but this doesn’t feel fluid/free, it feels as silly as can be.
What is the rationale behind the Solar Beam change? It feels really bad and awkward, please revert it.

They really need to reverse the Solar Beam change. The Mesmer’s Spatial Surge does not need a target at all.
Why would they take an awkward skill and make it even more awkward??
Pets will now only be stowed when gliding once you leave combat.
I foresee many dead pets in future raid content where bosses turn floors and platforms into grounds of instant death as we glide away and cannot stow them because we are in combat.
Great change and another +1 for kittening us over unless those moves are made so they won’t reduce our pets into ashes.

Considering you could pre-cast Solar Beam and select a target mid-animation, I don’t see why this change was considered at all, what is it supposed to fix? It feels so clunky.
Do they even know what they’re doing…
They probably added it to hinder AF generation while OOC.

The Solar Beam change is a nerf to CA regen. You could target allies or your pet to regen some CA on the fly (which was very small regen).
Then add it to non existent fixes and changes (positives) for the Druid.

But you can build up AF ooc easily with regen now, this change does nothing but make it feel terrible to use in the heat of combat.

Just noticed it… AF Gen is ok now with signet and reg (even the reg trait for the pet counts O.O). But its still a bit silly that we need a target but mesmers not^^

I’m trying to think of a reason for the pet stowing and I can’t think of any real reason for this change.

Out of touch comes to mind. Broke class is another. To give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe just a missed bug. Although I lean more towards the opening statement and the are out of touch.

Guys, it’s okay. Regeneration and pseudo-regeneration sources (like signet of the wild and natural healing) now generate Astral Force. I’m generating Astral Force like crazy! Try it! It’s absolutely no issue now!
I think Glyph of Equality also had some sort of 7% damage buff. (- UNCOMFIRMED)
My beef is…. Again, Celestial Form #5 is bugged in PvE to do less than the PvP numbers. (And I will keep pointing this out, until it’s fixed.)
Also, Staff is unfortunately a really trashy weapon with not much purpose besides mobility and projectile block. It’s too bad, because I really wanted another offensive weapon for rangers, too.

Pet stowing was working like pet swap. The pet that was un stowed was not the pet you stowed. Side note, this was also the case if you got moaed……. Not sure if this changed or not.

Rejuvenating tides… Yes because with the plethora of slows we need our timed CA form to get screwed even more. Let’s just increase cast and animation times by 3 seconds for good measure. I don’t care if it can be affected by speed, slows slow down timers too so this is a double screw. Yeah, let’s kitten over a timed CA form with more interrupts as well.

As long as pets still have the damage reduction in pve it probably wont do much to them unless it’s either ~1,000,000 damage or pulses.
I don’t care about the Staff 1 change just please get rid of the stupid dialogue pop up. Its so irritating. Make the skill do nothing without a target, it won’t be hard to understand without the dialogue pop up.
