Ya, it needs to be traited to get the old radius back.
That radius is supposed to be baseline, radius isn’t listed on the traps trait (at least not according to the notes), or am I being blind?

The new smaller radius (240) is baseline. To get the old huge radius back, you need to trait for it. I’m not sure the traited radius is exactly the same radius as the old one, but it looks pretty close if it’s not.
It’s a little nerfed, the radius is super small now.

Ya, it’s a trap now so the radius is small unless traited. On a semi-related note, I’ve already gotten annoyed by the “We Heal as One!” scream every 16 seconds.

I’d need someone stood next to me to experiment with effect radius, but at a glance I can’t see any difference with HS regardless of whether or not traps are traited.

I don’t think there is any trait now to expand the radius. The radius now is 240, same as it was prior to patch.
Nothing in that has changed, what has changed is that now that it is a trap, the “trigger radius” i.e. the radius someone must be in to set it off is 180, same with all traps.
What this means, is the person, ally in the case of HS, enemy in the case of all other traps, must be with in 180 of where trap was set to trigger it. Once they are triggered though the area of the trap where the effect will occur is 240.
Once again, the radius of effect should not have changed at all.
I superimposed the two radii on top of each other.
That’s the size of the water field not the radius of the heal effects, and it’s way more than 180 or 240. It’s more like 440 untraited and 540 traited. Interesting that the trapper trait increases the size of the field though, because that’s not a listed effect.

Yes, it pulses it so if you stand in it you get a bunch.
I’m not noticing any difference in functionality based on how I use it. The half second arming time seems negligible to me. I’ve always used it as a base heal for myself, with a WH blast for the additional area heal. With Windborn Notes traited, the regen stack afforded by both lasts a good long time.

One HS and some pew pew into the air gave me about 1 min of Regeneration.

I was able to get 1 min of regen at borderland spawn area/safe zone, but outside where people are able to kill each other I could not replicate it.

I also observed that “Trapper’s expertise” increases the HS radius.
This skill also enables a full HS to grant 60s of regeneration. It seems to me that the older HS was ticking every other second, for a total of 5 ticks, while the new ones ticks every second for a total of 10. May be a bug.

Yeah, thought the same. I can easily gain 1 min of Regeneration in the Grove.

When triggered, Spirit of Nature’s Renewal will also cleanse 5 condis on 5 people in the spirit’s range and revive anyone downed (5 now, up from 3 with a larger radius, includes yourself with good timing), on a 30s CD.
Do you guys really think they will make the CD on Spirit of Nature 30s? That would be a game changer tbh and it would be our best elite skill then.
I know the patch notes stated all Ranger spirits will have a 30s CD, but doubt they were referring to the Elite Spirit, is there any other source?
Wanted to follow up on this; I was wrong and you were right. It did get a CD buff from 3m to 2m, but not 30s.
In the patch notes they added “all nonelite”. Probably my doing. :B
On top of the slight CD reduction, the spirit GM trait with Spirit of Nature pulses stability at a little over 1s every 3s. That’s pretty cool.
