Q:

Do these two traits trigger at the same time when a common effect hits them, or does Shared Anguish ‘intercept’ an effect and transfer it to the pet before Hide in Plain Sight is triggered (so that HiPS only triggers when Shared Anguish is in cooldown)?

A:

They both can trigger at the same time.

According to Valor they work together perfectly:

Starts at 5:28, he states that they work together at 6:41.

I’d actually rather they work separately, as they’re kind of redundant working together. No biggie. Thanks for the answers.

You shouldn’t underestimate their effects working together. If you are running away from a foe and he tries to stun you, so he can to catch up, you basically go into stealth and continue running. It’s the perfect escape mechanic, and you don’t even have to press a button for it to work.
