so my ranger is a lot stronger than other players but it is because i use the rihgt strategy but i use the same thing ower and ower again so it gets a bit boring
so im looking for a new strategy help plz

Now heres some tips.
1.Use troll heal from the time you see your foe.yes at full health.yes even though you have 25k life
2.i dont use QZ for 2 reasons:Guardians and Retaliation
3.Never,i mean NEVER use the active effect of Signet of the Wild.thats why i gave you Sickem
4.Stay close to your pet so you can remove some cond with the other Signet,thats why i use low range weapons
5.Abuse the Spirit of Nature and the rez :P dont be afraid to use it but find nice spots to summon it so they cant focus it easily
6.Use your 5 skill in axe offhand a lot.whenever its on cd
7.When you are about to finish a downed foes swap pets.the haste buff will down him instant
8.Use this haste swapping pet in casting heal and elite.Its more usefull than 5 fast hits
9.Be creative and have a keen eye
With this build you are the leader of the map..You go first (not recklesly).You defend,you roam and you dominate in 1v1.Always put attention on your kittens.Spent some time to get used of the build and practise the F2 skill of your pet.Its not totally bugged just need more attention.You can master it and do some nice moves with your pet.We Rangers are not weak,we are not need so much dev love as you may think.We are Rangers,We survive,We make the first step and the other will follow :P

Yeah, devs have aknowledged the issue has to do with the semi-colon in the links for that site; they are looking into it.

Cool build, except that pets are broken. What good is a pet’s damage in PvP if your target doesn’t stand still? Remember, right now, pets can’t attack and move at the same time. They also have severe pathing issues.

This build would be fun to try when ArenaNet fixes this pet issue.

ty for info i usualy just stun or ibobilize a nothe player and the i shoot him with a shor bow stuning and crippeling him at the same time then i use my pet to finsh him off i get a bit back use mi ling bow to max the damage

Best Pvp strategy for Ranger. Switch to a different class. Seriously.

I watched a friend play her Ele in WvW today and I almost cried when I saw how much more damage she was putting out compared to my Ranger.

Rangers are good for solo PvE in easy areas. Good PvE beginner class.

It used to be good for PvP in Beta before the GS was overnerfed. Now it is a beginner class.

(and don’t forget about the Shortbow nerf with the recent patch)

1. Login to ur acc.
2. Make ranger lvl 80 , full gear it.
3. Relog on acc.
4. Delete ranger and make any other class, best mesmer or guardian
5. Go pvp.

I think the best choice would be to go full cond, kite kite kite. Using root and slow helps a lot . Never ;et anyone close to you and dodge anytime u can.
Prolly best idea is to stay behind and do dmg from behind ur party “tanks”.

In sPvp (and WvW) against anyone decent this won’t work. You can’t kite classes which have much better swift boosts and massive burst damage. Almost all classes have decent stability and condition removal abilities.

Go make warrior. Superior at range now.

This is ridiculous. I own people with my ranger when I’m playing well… ranger can bunker, 1v1, roam. There’s a lot of room in the PvP game for them.

People seem to think its only about how much damage you dish. Rangers have amazing control, aoe, conditions, traps, and tons of evasion as well as invulnerability tricks that can last for 10-15 seconds. There are good ranger players out there who dominate in pvp. Talking to other classes u will always hear people saying they are scared of rangers and they have seen some crazy good rangers around. Just because you can’t use a ranger effectively and are stuck in the dps mindset, it doesn’t mean others cant use it and win.

As for dps qz and greatsword for my build is the same as a warriors hundred blades dps, but I wouldn’t do that in pvp just because there’s a lot safer and better ways to work with ur opponents

My spec is 0/5/30/30/5

I roll around swapping between axe/warhorn and sword/dagger.

My gear stacks vitality and then splits importance between toughness or healing power, and then power or condition damage whichever may be there.

The skills I use are Signet of Renewal, Protect me, Signet of the Wild, and Nature Spirit.
