“Hoodsmoke – 80 Ranger”
“Ziiig – 80 Warrior”
So the most popular offhand for the ranger (and for good reason too) seems to be the warhorn. The number 4 ability or "Hunter’s call is an awesome move to get some extra damage while attacking someone. However when i use this move and my target LoS me i get the “Obstucted” above them.
This doesn’t really make sense considering it is calling birds to peck their eyes out and now that I can’t see them the birds miss their attacks.
So was this supposed to be implemented or is this just a bug?
Anything with an induction or channel needs to maintain LoS (or should do, if any don’t then chances are those abilities are bugged).
It doesn’t make sense, but its probably intended. They probably don’t want you ducking behind a wall and still able to do damage while an enemy can’t damage you. They’re treating it like a normal ranged attack in that way, you can either hit your opponent and they can hit you or neither of you can hit.
But then again, condition damage isn’t screwed by LoS and does pretty much the exact same thing as Hunter’s Call does, so… I don’t really think its nessicary to limit it in that way.
@Electro
That is exactly what i was thinking. Bleeds and other DoTs dont have any LoS effect.
Plus it just seems kind of stupid that my birds that are pecking your eyes out are “Obstucted” because my target is behind a tree.
Which bleeds / DoTs and do they have an induction / channel time?
Wouldn’t it be invulnerable if you’re away from something or behind something and an enemy can’t damage you? lol Isn’t that how invulnerability happens? Birds shouldn’t really be “obstructed” …at least give a different message lol and yeah, it should be considered condition damage…. that would be interesting for condition damage builds
