The blind needed a nerf, but did the heal also need a nerf? Personally I liked the positional element of the beta version where it put a wisp around the player, allowing you to focus a lot of heals on one target with two wisps plus staff 1.
If simply increasing the cooldown is indeed the right answer, the 400% difference is still just too much. This change is extremely heavy-handed and makes me question whether or not the trait is now even worth having as Grandmaster rank.
Almost every patch since HoT launched has nerfed us.

Yeah disappointing, seems we’ll need to bring engis and eles for the blinds now in Raids. 6s internal CD would be much more balanced IMO.

Thanks for the support, Wolfey. This continues to be an incredibly disappointing expansion for many Rangers/Druids for myriad reasons.

What’s next? nerfing Natural Stride to 25% speed? Remove the bleed from Ancient Seeds? Celestial Shadow no longer grants stealth? Bring it on I can take it.

12 seconds is too much Anet. Maybe 5 or 6 and trim down on the heal for the rest. At this point, why even have a blind in there. Why would anyone take this trait? A blind every 12 seconds with a strict condition for it to happen? Please revisit this, 12 seconds is not ideal.

My reaction in a more appropriate thread:
Sigh, 12 second ICD.
And that’s not what the sigh is for, the sigh is that the base heal is 596, and only scales up to about 800.
A trait that provided 100+ healing per second now provides about 50 per second baseline, and only scales to 70 hps.
That means at best, it’s only slightly better than worst case Signet of the Wilds 62 base healing per seconds.
The blind should have been removed before this change was ever implemented. GJ ANet, another trait gutted, kneejerk style, with no attempt at even constructively iterating on it for it to retain its value without being broken.

Druid had some nice variety in builds during BW3. Since the launch of HoT, ANet has nerfed everything halfway-viable from Ranger/Druid (CAF, pets, traits) into oblivion. Mind you, all of this has occurred within the first week of the expansion which screams "knee-jerk". Now the only grandmaster trait that heals allies on an elite spec designed around healing is no longer viable.... What in the actual kitten, ANet?
Wow. Another nerf. Color me as shocked . . . not. Seriously, not happy with how the class is getting treated and less than happy with this nonstop nonsense. Again, very obvious they’re basing their decisions around PvP . . . again.

What happened to “Druids are the healers” thing? I mean, I thought that is why they gave us this craptastic Spec. So we would be viable in WvW and instances. . .

How much worse can this get, who at ANet is on a mission to remove ranger from the game?
This is beyond a joke, why won’t anyone at ANet explain why they hate the ranger so badly to keep screwing it over so regularly?
I also think the 12 second cd is a bit too much. I understand that the blind needed to be nerfed, but the healing output is too low now. I liked using this trait to give my healing a boost. The heal on the trait probably needs a pretty big boost if it is going to keep that cd.

Man. I never even got to USE this trait before it got nerfed into the ground. Its the next one on my learn bar that I need 10 more points for, and it was the one I was most excited for going into the live launch. Guess I should have grinded faster.
Like, having never used the trait before, it did seem perhaps a little too good on paper. But 4x the cooldown? Jeez, that’s excessive.
Wow, I will admit, it did probably need a nerf, I would even have accepted a 100% increase to 6 seconds, but this was hardly a nerf, this was a stake though the heart of this trait.
Why would you ever take this now? A ICD this long kills it on both ends.
No one would take this for the heal, it was never a strong heal, and the heal was not buffed to compensate (though I can’t image how they could ever buff it enough to warrant the ICD) .
Nor would any one take it for a randomly applied blind ever 12 seconds, if you are lucky to hit something in the split second you have before the effect dissipates.
I guess we will add this to the list of Ranger “Grand master” traits that are useless at best.

EDIT: And let me clarify, I won’t say the blind isn’t too much but if it is THAT should be on a separate cooldown, NOT the healing. “We want you to be a healer! Just … you know … not a good one?”

The pvp forum complaining about bunker druid with Minstrel amulet is what got this nerfed.
Yet another reason for stuff being divided between PvE/PvP.

Few hours ago b4 patch i was so happy to get my druid maxed and a lot of fun with it then took a break and woke up and see this….Yay free coffee ( punch in the face )

Well, was fun while it lasted. I suggest anyone wanting to play Druid in PvP just not equip a GM trait to get used to all incoming nerfs due to QQs.

I don’t want to see ancient seeds nerfed but it was obviously strong the first time it was seen.
Do I think it should be nerfed? No.
Will it get trimmed? Probably.
Will I cry? Depends on how dull the razor is.
I am surprised that the nerf is so heavy handed. I was expecting the same treatment as with blinding ashes which got its ICD increased from 5 to 8. But from 3 to 12 and a reduction of the proc duration is just… wow.
Again, something goes from great to worthless.
Sigh… good times.

Grace of the land needs a nerf, not this. The aoe damage buff is too strong. And only requires 1 druid, making 2 druids useless.

just give it a few days, they will destroy Grace of the Land aswell. but first they need to kill Ancient seed.

This is the dumbest reasoning for a nerf possible…
You aren’t going to get 2 Druids in fractals and we will probably already need 2 druids in the harder raid bosses. If we don’t, gimping GotL isn’t going to make people bring 2.
