Haha, I’m sure we will mess around with an all Spirit team just for the LOL’s. But, in the actual tourny I highly doubt it. Although, depending on the other team comp you never know. If it’s an AOE heavy team we were going against, then most likely not.
I expect to see every one of you with Runes of the Ogre + hyena pet. Or Pirate Runes and all birds, that could be amusing too, but not as much as the dog spam

I would so delete my noob necro and make a human ranger just to get 5 dogs and 4 spirits in order to make the perfect AI clutter yet to be seen.

It’s for real. We plan on doing the best we can. We are positive that going all the way is near impossible. Even to the semi-finals is going to be difficult. We do expect to win a few though. So we will see. Our team consists of 5 Rangers who have never played together in team que yet. Last night it was just 4 of us and only 3 were on teamspeak. Out of the 5 matches we played, we won 3. And we were mainly testing out different builds, trying to click as a team etc.

i think the new ranger improvements is a good reason for a new stream, how u explain the buffs and what we can create out of it. Maybe together with Jcbroe and Durzla
there will probably be a stream soon™ however right now, me, JC and durrz are focusing on the upcoming ToL2 tier fight, as we all are in a team.
EDIT: it is too early however to make a stream just yet though. At this point, we must see what the other professions get or lose. What may seem ideal now, can be countered by others getting new things.

bit late, but thanks to everyone watching the stream today. It was a very, random and incoherrent chat, and my MMR is quite bad so that was no top end PvP. Still, for low/mid end PvP – proof that powerbuilds do work.

seems like troll post to me. The dodge rune and trap rune seems too strong and doesnt seem like they will allow much counterplay.
That trap rune would be kittening LOL on a trap ranger, the only other class that has traps is thief, and they don’t even compare at all to ranger’s. That trap rune looks worse than perplexity pre-nerf. Dodge rune would also be pretty useless on a ranger considering most of our evades aren’t actually “dodges” but weapon skills, I like the idea of the cripple though, but again, cripple is not an issue for rangers.. =p

we got lots of vigor/endurance regen time. So it wouldnt be THAT bad for us. Still, seems like troll runes.

I still share a lot of Prysins sceptisim about these being real Runes/Sigils.. but even if they are, the trap runes wont be as good as they look at first glance I dont think. There seems to be some confusion with the translation on the Quickness, and it’s more likely it will actually be be Swiftness from what I can tell. Ontop of that, the traps triggering or pulsing would pull the ranger straight out of stealth anyway, meaning would couldnt really make much use of the stealth at all once you were fighting.
Actually I think that is a fair arguement for these to be a troll.. having stealth with traps just doesnt make any sense, the 2 mechanics are totaly at odds. It would be like clone attacks pulling a mesmer out of stealth.. would be pointless.
