Post Your Build Thread
This is the build I have been working almost 3 years on, lots of mobility, speed, and conditions. As far as I can tell, I have not seen a build like mine. I only have the chest and feet ascended, as well as a back piece, so I can only see this getting better as I flesh everything out over the next few months. Just wanted to share.
Ferocious Signets this is a build for after the core specs update drops. I’m going off of the list of core specialization traits. Hoping that there’ll just be some number changes to the new traits and no actual changes to how they work, I’m too in love with this build to have to change it all over again. Basically either an off-tanky brawler or a hard critting bursty guy if you want to sacrifice your signets. Depends on how long the fight’s going to be, I guess.
Skills
>Troll Unguent
>Signet of Renewal
>Signet of the Wild
>Signet of the Hunt
>Rampage as One
Traits
>Marksmanship:
Opening Strike – inflict vulnerability with your first attack.
Enlargement – cast signet of the wild when you fall below 25% health.
Alpha Training – pets have opening strike.
Beastmaster’s Might – regain opening strike when you activate a signet and grant might to you and your pet. Signets recharge faster.
Precise Strike – opening strike will always critically hit.
Remorseless – regain opening strike when you gain fury and opening strike does more damage.
>Skirmishing:
Tail Wind – gain swiftness on weapon swap.
Most Dangerous Game – gain power while below 50% health.
Furious Grip – gain fury when you swap weapons while in combat.
Primal Reflexes – gain vigor when you evade an attack.
Hunter’s Tactics – deal more damage when flanking.
Quick Draw – your first skill after swapping weapons has a reduced cool-down.
>Beastmastery:
Instinctual Bond – when you are downed your pet gains quickness.
Companion’s Might – grant might to your pet when you crit.
Loud Whistle – reduced recharge on pet skills and swapping.
Two – Handed Training – Greatsword and Spear damage increased by 5% and recharges reduced by 20%. Greatsword and Spear attacks have a chance to grant fury.
Pet’s Prowess – pets move faster and crit harder.
Honed Axes – gain ferocity while wielding an axe and winter’s bite is aoe. Axe skills recharge faster.
Gear
>Weapons
Greatsword – Power, vitality, ferocity (Valkyrie)
Sigils of strength and purity
Axes mh/oh – Power, precision, ferocity (Berserker)
Sigils of strength and purity
>Pets
raven & jungle stalker
High precision as well as blind/might granting
>Armor – Power, vitality, ferocity (Valkyrie)
With Runes of the Pack
>Trinkets
Amulet and Rings – Toughness, power, precision (Knight)
Accessories and Back – Power, vitality, ferocity (Valkyrie)
All with Emerald – Precision, toughness, power
This is my healing ranger:
Basically, no one dies, ever.
I use it on spvp, you just need to summon all your spirits in the big fights and throw your axe until everyone on the other team is dead.
And of course, you are playing a support character, so always stick with your team, no matter where they go and you will win.

Ranger Build – High HP & Full Condition DMG for PvPs. http://intothemists.com/guides/6124-capture_point_defender
“Beastly Arrows”
- Full zerker travelers LB/GS. Been running this in both roaming WvW and mid tier ranked SPvP since the trait revamp. It’s a durable 1v1 build that can to an extent hold its own on point as long as you dont misuse LB #3 and #4. Due to better trait synergies it can handle pressure better than the old glassbow which this build draw similarities to. I pick zerker amulet as the power longbow variant isnt made to take too many hits in the first place, so I take raw damage over the little extra healthpool marauder provides (pluss troll unguent is a heal over time).
Key pointers is the synergy in survival skills granting fury and removing 2 conditions, among with 15 ICD taunt on birds F2 for offensive/defensive use. While it is a power build it also has a good upkeep of conditions to apply such as poison, vuln, blind, weakness.
- Cons: Struggles with competent s/f and d/d (cele) ele, and condi mesmer if they outlast your burst. Birds can die fast if not managed.

I used to be a power ranger, now not sure anymore
Full zerker?
Is that all we are ever going to see now?
Redoing all of our armor to go “meta” is not only costly, it’s single-minded.
We can’t do anything except be an outcast – even more than before.
Bye Bye Bows build

This guide is great… In my case his play style fit with me… roaming around the battle field and causing havoc… Also he’s a friendly guy who answers questions from noobs (like me) even though its kinda annoying to some people…

my recent ranger build as of 29/09/2015
My Pvp build with high offensive capabilities and sustain. The build has been buffed due to the recent patch 09/29/2015.
You can easily maintain 25 stacks of might with this build without using your utilities

The previous build I posted in the the page was made unfeasible due to the recent nerfs to ranger as of 09/30/2015
The might stacking capabilities and thus your dps potential is severally reduced and near negligible in an spvp arena.

i haven’t play for over a year and restarted with a ranger, do you think i could easily use your build in PVE? i’m not really interested in PVP, i like walking with my pet and killing stuff from distance
thanks again

This is a build tailored to my own playstyle able to 1v1 any class. (And even 100-0 people who It is a hyper aggressive Druid that could probably work just as well with Muarder. But I am OCD about healing, Cele arguably offers more allowing you to bunker.
Your advantage over a true bunk is a decent burst combo and ways to sustain dps.
Smokescale, upon using Shadow Assault should follow into WhaO if the heal isn’t needed or CAF is full.
Upon obtaining fury, Remorseless resets. Fury is obtained from RNG on Two-Handed Training. And a more controlled source, your dodge roll. Evading a burst and turning around to punish with a 3-4k Mual.
Hilt Bash + Tiger’s F2 is your main burst. I have seen the pet crit for 5k. On top of this, it resets Remorseless. Following up with Mual is ideal.
Your Dodge also cripples, and gives you Fury/Swiftness. Perfect for keeping up on faster foes with the Greatsword, an issue I had been having but didn’t want to use the wolf for.
Strength of The Pack – Every application of fury resets Remorseless. On top of might stacking, you will stack 10 vuln for 5s every application.
Edit: Aside the runes and sigils, this build is now on basically on Metabattle as one of the possible variations of Celestial Avatar Druid as of 11/30/2015, I have also been seeing several Druids running this in the past few days.

Druid Condi
Just my very first build for Druid Condi, please advise.
Beserk Ranger GS/LB Build PVE Fractals
Hi all this is my first build it works very well for me suggestions comments welcome runs just as well with exotic trinkets versus ascended so don’t be put off by that
With this build your pet tanks taking most damage and gaining regen, you also gain regen when you use your pets shout ability F2, you also gain stacks of might fury when you dodge roll in combat and also when you swap pets in combat anyways hope you enjoy

I use this build for all group content now…
I went from a fully ascended sinister set prior to HOT to a fully ascended cleric set after HOT…
This is what I run now… the almost constant bursting of the seeds when using a glyph means I very rarely have to go into Celestial Form…as long as my party members are in the radius of the burst. I constantly swap weapons and pets for their F2’s and try to stay away from camping one single weapon.
The fern hound adds extra regen…the blue moa provides a damage reduction…you cant buy the furious tuning crystals but I have an alt that makes them…just kind of expensive to make.
Its really a “Heal all the things” build… the downside is that alone you can hardly kill a fly – definitely for group play.
The superior sigil of life almost always is maxed at 25 stacks, and might is stacked the majority of the time just as an offshoot of group play. When the stacks are on, my healing power sits a little under 2100
I use it in the backline, mid, or right up on whatever we are fighting.
Zerk ranger GS/LB build
This is pretty effective i use it now myself and can handle most areas
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQNAT8fjUqQBLWyCusAVLGWEqeCu1R4jiid13LPAO6MWlEoQA-TZhAABAcQAE4JAoz+D0XGIkLAAA for pvp sword/torch LB combo and it works great for pve too
100%+ fury/might/swiftness uptime with this
Can swap Bountiful stones for Superior for more Power but little less boon duration
Can swap Owl for Wolf for more CC. I like the damage and chill from the F2 on Owl
Been using this build for a while and I have no issues 1v1 and typically can 1v2 (except vs MM Necros/Reapers or high condi sustain Mesmers/Chronos…need to learn my timing)
There is good rotation to get a quick 25 stacks of might, thanks to copying boons between you and your pet.
- I am currently a main thief roamer for SF in WvW. LOVE ME!
- {SOAP} Solo/Havoc roamer, lover of good fights
LB/GS because it’s the most fun. Druid to LoS, heal up and get back in the fight. Skirmishing for quick draw, which you can use to swoop twice, block twice, stealth twice, knockback twice… you get the picture.
It’s high on survivability and annoyance (of thine enemy) build, great mobility, exactly what I enjoy playing. You’re slippery and don’t have to be in the thick of things, you can help pick off low health targets and waste the time of those who’d attack you. Thiefs and mesmers are probably toughest but not impossible, warriors with perma stability also so remember to use your knockbacks/roots early. When in doubt, go invis.
I have always played Melee ranger (preference – not interested in “Meta”).
The following build is what I have been playing as of late.
I am interested in suggestions on how to improve.
Full Melee Build:
Strengths:
Mobility on both weapon swaps
Evades and/or Blocks on both weapon swaps
Burst damage: Proc Moment of Clarity and Remorseless – Maul Slam
3 Stun Breakers
Stability
Poison Damage to assist in sustained Damage
Weaknesses:
Multiple opponent pressure
Condi Cleanse
Heavily relies on pet management (burst damage and invisibility)
Melee Ranger is unique. Even though Ranger melee skills can do high amounts of damage most of the skills are reactionary in the sense that the majority are designed to evade or react to incoming damage.
I have found the Druid trait line to be inferior for melee. Celestial form has many benefits but in my opinion you have to give up too much for it.
Let me know what you all think.
