[PvE 100% Crit Chance Ranger]
I cant find Rexavian Redfoot for the Skale Venom. I’ve been waiting at the area where the event should pop up but nothing.
I remember doing the event before, but now it just wont pop up. I’ve been waiting for hours
Did you check make sure he was not in merchant mode already?
Was wondering if this was feasible to try for. WTB>more access to fury. Perhaps a consumable somewhere…

What food buffs gives 9% crit chance?
It is relatively easy to achieve 100% chance without buffs on any profession. I did this calculation for my ele but any class can have it.
Easiest way to get 100% is using rampager gear where precision is main stat and with power and condition damage. A bit harder is with berserker since main stat is power but gives more direct damage and increases critical damage (basic crit damage is 150% normal damage, with crit damage increase on berserker gear can go over 215%!)
According to this article
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Precision
On lvl80, every profession has base precision of 916 and 4% crit chance. On lvl80 it is required 21 precision point to have 1% crit chance. This means:
Basic Precision:
916 / 21 = 43,6% crit chance
Armor precision (hat + shoulders + chest + gloves + leggings + boots) :
32 + 24 + 72 + 24 + 48 +24 = 224 / 21 = 10,6% crit chance
Trinkets/bling (earring + earring + ring + ring + amulet + 5 x ruby jewel)
40 + 40 + 48 + 48 +64 + (5 × 40) = 440 / 21 = 20,9% crit chance
weapon (2x one handed or two handed weapon with same berserker stats)
128 / 21 = 6% crit chance
6 runes on armor (i.e. Eagle rune)
25 + 50 +90 = 165 / 21 = 7,8% crit chance
Traits (using precision branch)
200 / 21 = 9,5% crit chance
Superior Sigil of Accuracy on weapon gives 5% crit chance (or have back item with more precision <- advisable)
Total: 43,6 + 10,6 + 20,9 + 6 +7,8 +9,5 + 5 = 103,4 % crit chance.
So no need for extra food, but it is listed I provided above what food increases precision.

First sheed is rampager gear, second is berserker and third is magic find.

Basic Precision:
916 / 21 = 43,6% crit chance
You got it wrong, the first 916 basic Precision DOESN’T COUNT at all. They’re there… but they don’t mean anything. At 916 you have 4% chance, and AFTER THAT you get +1 for each 21 points. If they counted for anything, everyone would be critting all the time, and that’s not true. If you don’t invest on precission, you rarely see the red splash around your numbers that indicate a critical hit.

In other words total crit chance on gear is:
4 + 10,6 + 20,9 + 6 +7,8 +9,5 + 5 = 63,8 % crit chance.
(still sounds good to me having in mind for this calculation berserker gear is used where Power is primary stat)
Possible if added 100 points in traits will gat almost 5% would result 68% on berserker gear. Pity but still, this thing gives huge damage. With i.e. Bowl of Curry Butternut Squash Soup it is possible to get another 4,7% for 30 minutes = 72,7~73% chance. Seems like in best case 27% is missing :-/
Now what? Synergy with party?
Red Moa / Hunter’s call and voila – another 20% crit chance.
Master Maintenance Oil for another boost to precision.
Master Maintenance Oil is Nourishment which replaces Bowl of Butternut Squash Soup but replaces it in better way.

I am thinking like with this build my ele got like a bit more than 11K health but let us round it:
4% of 11000 Health = 440 precision / 21 = 20,95% crit chance (more than soup giving 100 precision)
6% of 0 Toughness (ele in mind) = 0 Precision
So it would be (on ele) 68 + 20,95 = 88,95% crit chance.
And one thing I forgot – FURY!!!
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fury
Fury gives 20% crit chance!
elementalist has:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Arcane_Fury
88,95 + 20 = 108,95% crit chance!
(arcane fury last for 2 seconds but can linger for 5 seconds if traited 15+ in arcana)
According to this calculations – it is possible.
Master Maintenance Oil is Nourishment which replaces Bowl of Butternut Squash Soup but replaces it in better way.

No it doesn’t, you can have both Master Maintenance Oil and Bowl of Butternut Squash Soup active on your character. The oil is depicted by a Wrench icon, the food with an Apple icon.

Inkubus, you need to do your homework better.
Fury? Yeah, why do you think I mentioned “Red Moa / Hunter’s call”? Also read up on how to calculate crit, and the different types of nourishments, ok?
Thanks.
“This build is basically Afk- Autoattacking with shortbow.”
Ah, the joy of playing a ranger. Here’s to hoping ranger bows get some kind of rework so that they’re actually engaging.

I did. Point is, I play very little with my ranger and most of the time with my ele. I want to be independent as much possible from other players and it is likely I might be in dungeon without ranger in party. Elementalist has fury when swap attunement and I do that very often. So I would be gaining fury on my own.
What makes you think I don’t calculate crit chance properly? Lokheit.7943 pointed out directly what was my mistake and I accept it and changed accordingly. I removed 43,6% chance from my original calculus and replaced with 4%. 63,8 % crit chance on berserker gear only is correct with 200 traited precision. It is possible to have more than 63,8% if 300 precision is traited and rampager gear used but I want berserker gear.
@Aveneo.2068 This is wonderful! Makes big difference. And makes this thing easier. Thanks!
