Guild Wars 2

So last night I was playing in the Gate of Madness Borderlands and fighting stragglers and people off on their own.

I saw a ranger in the distance and noticed that his little spider/scorpion pet was being beat up by 5 MOA birds and decided to go take him out while his pet was out of action.

Upon reaching the target, he split in to 3 rangers. 3 exact images of himself kind of like the mesmer’s ability to create clones. Now I have had the opportunity to fight a good number of Rangers in the past, but this little trick was unknown to me. Is this an actual ability or was it some kind of hack, OR did I in fact, just meet a Mesmer with some kind of pet out?

I wish I would have snapped an image of it, but hopefully this description was not too vague for people to provide an answer.

Probably mesmer wth a Rock Dog. There’s a set of armor runes that has a chance to summon a Rock Dog pet.

Spider/scorpion=/= Rock dog.

Rangers have no ability to clone ourselves. maybe he was a ninja with 2 theifs around him.

stop smoking weed man! j/k – that is weird. you sure the pet belonged to the guy you say was a ranger? pets have a mind of their own sometimes and can wander quite far. it’s possible it was a ranger’s spider but the player nearby was a mesmer.

Lol , most probably the pet belongs to a ranger who is far away from his pet without realizing his pet is fighting the moas.

Haha I laughed at this xD not only the situation is funny but it also feels like an inside joke lol I think that was a pretty bad ranger if he/she doesn’t know the pet was there xD. I consciously use that technique let the pet aggro and then when I get far away enough swap pets and they suddenly lose their target lol but sometimes I don’t see rangers using their pets well or know where their pets are haha
