Aardenwolfe is right, in order to get that amount of staying power, the ranger isn’t going to be putting out very much damage, except possibly from conditions. I think it plays into the ranger’s ability to be self-reliant. Besides, the regeneration boon can be stripped, and TU can be out-bursted (or interrupted, it’s got a very strong tell) without much trouble.
OP, What i find interesting
“Guardian now is my main* Very healy and tanky with fair damage. My ranger is high health with lots of condition damage on mulitple targets”
see> https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Last-spot-Profession-Help
OP
In other word, your’re an Elitist Classes
Becasue as you already stated, “I personally don’t think this is right since guardian is supposed to be more of a regen class”
As all other Elitist class
Their purpose is to see the deminish of the Lesser class; the Ranger who is exhaustly trying to find reasons to Live and survive.
They will continiously cry out to Arenanet so they can justify reasons to Nerf this class even more.

Guardian isn’t the regen class, ranger is! Guardian is the protection/aegis/blind/projectile absorb, reflect/retaliation class. Rangers get so many different ways to regen. The regen boon, regen signet, troll unguent, and that one regen trait at the end of beast master. That’s 4 different, stacking, persistent regeneration effects, although troll unguent is only up for 10/25 seconds. Add in a regen pie and you get 5 different sources. Make it 6 during Spirit of Nature’s uptime, if that’s out. If the ranger parties with a guardian with battle presence and an ele with soothing mist, or whatever it’s called, you can bump that number up to 8. No other class has the shear amount of separate regen a ranger can have. Guardian literally has 2 sources, their passive, and the regen boon. Altruistic healing, though providing much hp over time is not a constant regeneration effect.
TLDR; the ranger is THE regeneration class, with access to the most independently ticking sources compared to any other class, guardian included.

Maybe you are confused with how regen works. Rangers don’t regen anymore than anyone else that has the regenerative boon. Rangers can trait to have it up for a VERY long duration, and a number of ways to apply the boon (from burning for example).
If you are playing a bunker guardian that is applying a pathetic burn every so often, you are basically healing the ranger as opposed to hurting them. The ranger has to trait for this.
It is possible you mistook Troll Ungent as a source of regeneration, when in fact that is one of our heals. This can tick for 1000 a pop. Where the ranger doesn’t hold up is the fact that we have very minimal ways to counter burst. Small sustained damage won’t kill us, but heavy burst will tear us up. Guardian on the other hand has excellent methods of countering large burst, as well as better CC.
We also have a signet that gives a marginal amount of regen. In total, from the signet and regeneration, you are looking at around a max of 400 health/sec regen (this is probably around the max we can get). Combined with troll ungent, it could get up to 1400, but troll ungent is a heal and shouldn’t be counted.
I don’t know many classes that can’t sustain 400dps, so I don’t really see a problem.

i change all of my regens with a warrior for mights
we got the speed buff and regen, the 2 worst buffs, the 2 whats less needed. because we allready have it and (and everybody can speed up and heal)
now we try to do our best. but i bet, 99% of the community will cry(finaly from the happyness) if they change that 2 with 3 stacks of might and furry :p
