SotB and Zephyr's Speed
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Not a bad idea.
Am I good?… I’m good.
I dunno… then you would need to go 30 into BM to get anything out of signets. Don’t think it would be a change for the better. They could be both master traits instead of grandmaster though.
Elona Bonechill – Necro / Fionna Gymirdottier – Guard /// RoF
Signet of the Beastmaster and Zephyr’s speed traits should switch traitline.
Signet of the Beastmaster is mostly defensive and Longbow and other weapons that uses marksmanship can use the quickness.
As long as they buff Zephy’s Speed to last longer then I too support this change.
First of all, signet of the beast master shouldn’t even exist. The signets should already affect the Ranger and the pet. If the Ranger did 100% damage and the pet did 40% damage, perhaps having them effect individual mechanics would be justified. But they aren’t.
On top of this, I’m not sure any of the signets are so powerful that they’d need a 30 pt trait to work as it is!
If for some reason ANet disagrees with the signets affecting both, it certainly shouldn’t need a 30pt trait to work! Instead, just attach signets to Concentration Training.
Now that all said, lets discuss Zephyr’s training…. the trait is awful and needs a buff before moving it anywhere.

That’d be like letting Warrior’s dual wield Greatswords…
In all seriousness though, although I agree with your statements, it’s not very likely to happen unfortunately due to ANet’s vision of the Ranger class.
By moving the signet of Beastmaster you’d destroy most of ranger burst builds which rely heavily on the signet of the hunt and the signet of the wild.
there is a reason for the current distribution . BM trait line is mostly around reducing swapping timers and giving buffs for swaps while buffing certain pet types .
Signets are good in the power line because u have 2 of them that dirrectly buff ranger damage
this would ruin my current wvw build
Signet of the Beastmaster is mostly defensive and Longbow and other weapons that uses marksmanship can use the quickness.
it actually gives access to rangers highest burst damage…
80 warr [Blaze Steelsoul], 80 ele [Blaze Nightstrike], 80 mesmer [Grim Shatterwhirl]
80 guard [Dusk Grimlight], 80 engi [Flintgear]
Signet of the Beastmaster is mostly defensive and Longbow and other weapons that uses marksmanship can use the quickness.
We already have 3 LB traits in MM tree, of which we can use only 2 at once. Before adding any more very good traits for LB builds, we need some merges.
Signets are good in the power line because u have 2 of them that dirrectly buff ranger damage
Signet of the Hunt: Active: Your pet’s next attack deals more damage. Buff Damage + 1
Signet of the Wild Active: Your pet grows larger, dealing more damage and gaining stability. Buff Damage + 1.
That is 2 tally for ranger damage.
Signet of Renewal Active: Your pet pulls all conditions from nearby allies to itself.
Signet of Stone Active: Your pet takes no damage from attacks.
2 tally for defensive.
Now lets look at passives.
Signet of Renewal Passive: Cures a condition every ten seconds. +1 to defensive
Signet of Stone Passive: Improves toughness for you and your pet. +1 to defensive
Signet of the Hunt Passive: Grants 25% increased movement speed to you and your pet. Can be both, +1 to both.
Signet of the Wild Passive: Grants health regeneration to you and your pet. +1 to defensive.
Tally for attack = 3
Tally for defensive = 6
We can conclude that signets is mostly defensive.
