Spirit Changes
Yeah I’m thinking the boon application could be on activation of the spirit sequence skill, so you can time them and not rely on non-player skills. For example, time the stability from Spirit of Nature when you see a big CC coming or Resistance from the Stone Spirit when some heavy conditions are applied etc
So probably join them with ‘Activated Skill’ and by extension, on death?
Now that turrets are not immune to crits and conditions, spirits cannot be either. Now all summons are in the same boat. They should get the same health and armor as turrets though.
Boon application would be good for the GM trait.
For the spirits themselves, I’m hoping for something truly build defining, team build defining, match defining and battle defining! So when you drop it, the enemy team REALLY don’t want it to be there and will have to split or change tactics to try and destroy it, or have a major disadvantage. Like GW1 spirits, but they probably would only be able to affect foes.
Effects such as; Doubling casting times (Nature’s Renewal), reducing healing (Predatory Season), inability to assist with revives (Frozen Soil), inability to use shouts (Roaring Winds), Cannot use signets (Primal Echos), Projectiles do more damage (Favorable Winds), More health per boon (Symbiosis), Boons expire faster (Tranquility), Dealing damage when reaching 0 endurance (Famine).
Now that turrets are not immune to crits and conditions, spirits cannot be either. Now all summons are in the same boat. They should get the same health and armor as turrets though.
Depending on what they decide to do with the spirits as they are closer in design to the banner than they are to turrets at this point. The fact you can interupt either the ranger in setting them up, or activating the effect, or the spirit itself before it get through with its telegraphed fist raise and slam animation makes them among the worst designed skills in the game.
Yeah they also need to work on the sequence skill activation time… Extremely slow and Extremely telegraphed
I just hope they don’t leave spirits, shouts and traps in the dust for another two years before looking at them again.
A complete overhaul is what I want. Forget anything about how they work now, and their current effects. Something completly different, and I might take consider them.
