So, since we are getting a staff, who has their skin picked out already? I’ve been thinking about this a bit and there isn’t really a lot that suit my Charr ranger.
I’ve already got the Deathwish skin and that may suit, but Final Rest would look pretty cool too imo. I’m not really a fan of any others I have seen thus far.
What’s everyone else’s choice? Post a pic of your current armor too

It always kittened me off, that that city-dwelling human was my ranger. Time to create a character with a more flexible back story than “I grew up in Divinity’s Reach.”
Currently looking at a Norn, both for druidic looks and for bear form shenanigans.
I hve a huge Asura fetish, so it might still become an Asura… It’s just how I roll, in the end, everything will become an Asura.
The only crime, turrets committed, is being good against the celestial meta.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.
For now the Hall of Monuments staff skin is my stand by. Still shopping around. Though I have been contemplating a modrem staff.
Kind of difficult for me because my druid will be my charr ranger and there’s not exactly a lot of medium armor skins that give off the druidic caster vibe AND doesn’t clip horribly with the charr tail. So choosing a staff is a bit difficult.
I like that staff that was datamined ages ago and people now think might be the next legendary. Can’t find the pic again but its like a wooden branch with a raven sat in the branches.
I like Mistforged Hero but if I make a Revenant will be using it on that.
Will have to look at more of them to see if there is any others I like.
by far the best looking staff in the game with an organic theme is the Dreamthistle staff, which I got before the prices went insane. if u can get anything Dreamthistle and like the organic themes, that’s what I would suggest. that’s what my druid’s gonna be sporting with sylvari t3 armor, a few Jade Dragon skins and other Dreamthistle skins.

When I read “staff with raven animations” I imagined something more dark, medieval looking, not a fancy version of ley line wep. Too bad anet goes for cute, pretty looks most of the time.

HA! You went to the opposite theme of me, I have Jormag’s breath and Frostfang and white/blue set
I didn’t start to look for a staff yet, but I’ll look for a frost/ice themed one.

My thoughts exactly! Already have one sitting in bank, and it was the first blc ticket I ever spent.
Not only do I like that it is all plant and has cool animated tendrils, but it also fits with the theme I have of using mordremoths stuff and nature I’m general against him (I also favor my fern hound I named “mordem fern hound”, and I use entangle on mordrem any chance I get). I would go do far as to say it is the perfect druid staff.
That said, if it suddenly gets really hyped, and the price skyrockets…I might sell it and go with one of the sylvari cultural staffs…
Steam Staff, or any other tech-looking staff, because after 3 years of nature-magic-ranger, i can’t get that excited by a spec that is basically nature-magic-ranger-but-with-a-staff.
Hopefully the spec reveal when it comes will prove me wrong.
I agree with the choice of Gnarled Walking Staff.
It looks like a good piece of wood, has an interesting stone/gem at the top, and it has cool magical flowing text.

Probably Chaos Staff for me. I run with a primary celestial, secondary midnight gold dye mix on Carapace Body/Legs/Boots with Radiant Gloves/Shoulders and Sunglasses.
I wouldn’t have it any other way, I need that “notice me” look that also looks awesome to me.

I like the more subtle colors, too—I’ve always either gone with ‘natural’ colors for my ranger, just seems a bit more fitting. I don’t really like sticking out, anyways. ^^
Having a hard time figuring out what staff skin I would use, though—the current look I’m kind of going for is sort of “amazon woman” (kinda hard with the distinct lack of anything with furs or pelts it’s kinda tough—almost wish she was a norn >_< ), something with skulls like Deathwish or Ogre Warstaff might match but I’m not really a fan. Maybe the pirate staff?
Odd as it is, I actually really love the ambrite staff so I may go with that, or even the Royal Ascalonian staff so the blue glow matches my Jormag’s Breath. In the end I’m a sucker for glowy things, but there is no way I could ever get Bifrost to match any of my ranger’s gear so hopefully they’re adding a new legendary staff that’s a bit less… yeah. XD
jcbroe your druid is going to look like the heir to a hotel fortune decided to take up nature magic just because he’s good at it without trying, and girls think nature magic is totes amazing. Next year he’ll take up the next ranger specialization.

I have decided to dust off my Sylvari trap ranger and give her the Mordrem staff.
Seems to go well with the T2 armor.
Will have to adjust her dye scheme a bit.

I am giving my Ranger a full LS 2 look with Mawdrey, Luminescent armour + all ambrite weapons (except the short bow because she has the fused bow)! So she’ll be getting the ambrite staff!
My brain is shagging under the weight of changes… having six characters was not a good idea!
Hey, I ran obsidian armor and vabbian armor in GW1, what can I say? My ranger comes from a very well-to-do lineage lol.
I salvaged a full set of Obby armor once, ended up with only a hand full of ectos back lol. I thought I would quit the game, but I was back a year later and made another set haha. ANet even restored my Ranger main after I had deleted/given away everything from my account. Anyway, off topic…

Something pinkish.. too bad there aren’t many skins like that from what I’ve seen. been considering this one, but it might be a bit too… gnarled?
I’d get the tormented staff, 150 gold or so I think.
thought about it, and it does look kind of nice, but it iiss 150g, and the actual staff itself is pretty dark, which doesn’t really fit my character (granted neither is the staff i posted. but i already own this skin so i’m not losing anything)
i’m still very undecided. kasmeer’s looks nice. I’m hoping HoT comes with it’s assortment of fancy skins for me to browse

I think the Ascended staff would look rather pretty, too (the Wup Wup version ), but that’s a lot of work just for one skin. XD It’s also a little more purple-y than pink, but the chromatic effect on might compliment the pale greens on your character, too. It’s a suggestion, at any rate. ^^
