Traps viability and signet of hunt
i’d simply take the 100% duration of trap potency lower that to 50% and add in the type of poison master effect “increase Direct damage from traps by a % of damage .”
then the 50% taken from potency add to the base line duration of traps, this would mean the trap will only double in duration if you pick the grandmaster , then if you do it’ll be no different to the current way the trait effects the condi duration.
buffs traps durations , and trap potency becomes somthing that can be used as high spike damage , in power/wilderness builds that use only 1 or maybe 2 traps.
it takes a lot of buffs in duration currently to get any use out of a basic spike trap , krait runes , Food and the current trappers potency but
" all it does is improve duration " and the traps only improve if you take lots of condi stats.
the traps could benifit very well from the alterations above for any build.

I believe Ranger mobility is all right, considering Swoop on Greatsword and Sword 2 that can be chained to move good distances. Warhorn also provides swiftness.
As for traps, they could be better, but I don’t think using a trait slot to trigger it with a Blast Finisher is necessary. It would be better to have the ability to manually detonate traps along with being automatically triggered by enemies.
Manual detonation since tossing traps onto downed opponents will not trigger or can be used to setup fields out of combat for combos such as Might stacking. For the moment, a set of Superior Rune of the Trapper increases trap viability if you choose to go that route.

You don’t get my point, my point of view is to give ranger needed mobility during fight without taking horn just to speed myself and have no other use of it, and having hunt signet just to get that 25%..
Yes you have trapper runes and horn and all but having this cuts your damage and other utility. Your answer is not relative neither constructive to my topic. I want to bring mechanics to ranger not just running either full berz lb + s/d or condi. And actually give ranger some mechanics to have some interesting play.
Trapper runes are failure and broken and work only for PvE(wvw)

Dud, i do get your point, and i gave you many alternatives on how to get mobility without soth. Soth btw are used in LB/GS builds not only for the mbility but also for the maul combo.
I play nither full berz lb + s/d nor condi, i dont use soth/horn and i dont have mobility issues.
