Yes, it’s better than TaV, just by because it’s easier to get it.
5% Damage and 5% Condition Damage for 4 secs is barely noticeable. We can’t even remove boons, so it makes even harder to land it. Fact is, you will not make a build around it, if it happens then you’re like ‘’meh, at least it’s something’’.
Also, disabling means HARD CC, not soft. Could have added Soft CC if they wanted to make it easily available to SBeast. Should have worked like Predator’s Onslaught. Which is the same thing, minus the movement-impaired part and not being a GM.
Indeed, AI is far better than TaV. It has 2 procs and interacts with their burst mechanic.
TaV on the other hand, is one of those traits that’ll work only in 2/3 game modes, is weak, has a short duration, and no interaction with Soulbeast – just moves that disable and won’t activate if your pet disables a foe.
It’s a throwaway trait.

It would be better if TaV is stackable and lasts waaaaaay longer. A poison application on disable would be sweet too.

The bonus should be flexible. Giving it some interaction with Beastmode would also help. Something like:
Twice as Vicious: Deal +10% more damage and condition damage against disabled foes. Gain “Twice as Vicious” (5s) when you use a Beastmode Beast (F3) ability.
Twice as Vicious buff: Your next Beast ability (F1 or F2) that you use will refresh instantly.

They should just change it to your next attack crits or something. It would still be very niche but at least it would have good synergy with the greatsword.
Yeah, SoulBeast feels like a lot of work went into balancing and creating the beast-mode skills and interaction, but hardly anything went into integrating the dagger and traits.

I like this too, but I also think it would be nice if it lasted longer, 10s or so and stacked twice at least. Then you could make it work with beastmode and also beast skills.

You could also give Oppressive Superiority some flavour then, making it work with TaV, increasing the maximum stacks to 5 and giving one on an interval if you hit a foe with less health than you.

A different revision. Thinking about it, I don’t want SB to have traits that don’t affect the pet. It should at least have bonuses for it, on TaV, or any of the other traits.
Twice as Vicious: You and your Pet gain Twice as Vicious (10s) when you or your Pet disables a foe, use a Beast ability, or enter/exit Beastmode. When in Beastmode, the effects are doubled. Twice as Vicious buff: Deal +5% more damage and condition damage.
