It means that if your pet has 5 stacks of might (durations don’t matter) and you have 10 stacks of might (durations continue to not matter) that when you hit WHAO you’ll gain 5 stacks of might for 10s and your pet will gain 10 stacks of might for 10 seconds.
Looks like a fair change to me. Thanks for this and the post-BWE3 changes.
Building up stacks before a copy is fun, I’m glad that’s back.
Amazing. The might stack limit was pretty much the biggest problem I had with the nerf, although I now understand that it wasn’t easy to make it work internally.
Guys, this will be amazing for solo PvE content. 25 might stacks for a huge chunk of combat if done right.

As we hurtle toward launch most of my time is locked into Druid and Scrapper changes.
After much tribulation I was able to make a change to WHAO to remove the static boon stack application on Might and Stability stacks being copied; this was actually a fairly difficult change to implement as we don’t really have support for copying boons with preset durations.
This’ll go in with the 23rd.
Yay. I think this is what most of us pictured for the skill from the start.
This is exactly what needed to happen. Personally I have to admit that I was really upset about the nerf you guys performed but honestly … it was a bad nerf and made the whole thing very unintuitive while only really damaging builds which have to go all out for the might stacking so something that was a fair trade off to begin with.

Think this is perfectly acceptable. Looks like we got a dev for ranger that doesn’t only promise but also delivers. Thanks a lot, man.
It is acceptable because you really have to build around it to make it work. You could actually even see this as a nerf if you cannot stack might onto your pet since before you would even get 3 might stacks if your pet only has 1. It just didn’t make sense.

You need the might when you can actually do something with it so I doubt you will actually wait with your heal until your pet has 1 sec left just to run around with 25 stacks.
You do it when you can actually make use out of them and don’t think using the heal like that will kill you. Do you really play ranger in pvp? I alwas read your comments and they imply that you have no clue how actual matches work.
Hey ANET, can you please consider increasing the Quickness duration by a second or two, please? It’s really way too short at the moment.

‘Nerfing it to a safe place’ is a pretty reasonable normal response to keep something from destabilizing the live game while you work on it. It seems like the plan was genuinely to get back to it all along, so, Roy’s fine.
Between this and the staff #3 change, there’s been alot of talk of interfacing with Programming on our behalf. I like that you guys are making that interaction public, it makes me feel less like leftovers and more like resources are being directly dedicated to improving the Ranger’s gameplay experience.
I’m impressed with the quick traction on this, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it to see how it feels.

I agree that nerfing something to a safe place while working on it is a reasonable response, but they constantly leave brokenly op builds in the game without doing this. That’s a big part of why people were so upset.
Does that only include might and stability or all boons? the 10s duration I mean or will the other boons see any change?
Irenio, Was a concern of mine and the thief community, however do you recall a bug with Bountiful Theft?
*Does not steal “stacks” of the boons; e.g. the enemy has 15 stacks of Might, your character is only going to receive 1 stack of might (unknown which individual might application/duration takes priority); if the enemy is using a boon that stacks duration, such as Protection, and has both a 3s and a 4s application of it (showing as 7 seconds total), your character will only steal the 3s or the 4s application of the boon (unknown which application/duration takes priority), not the full 7s.
We were hoping to flip the tables massively if we use this trait in steal and actually make it matter if an enemy is ready to spike you that you can turn the tables, steal his 25 might etc, and flip the damage back on him…I brought this up because I believe it has to do with your original post on duration appliances copied. Thanks on a heads up.

I’d be fine with 4 seconds as long as it’s affected by boon duration.

Thanks for coming in and putting in a bunch of time and effort into developing our class Irenio!
Just wanna continue the “please fix sword auto chain” echo. It’s awful that sword is the only weapon ranger has that does enough damage to be considered semi able to be allowed to play in meta groups while also being the most unwieldy and hard to use + likely to get you killed because of all the time you are unable to dodge due to being locked in to animations.
Really happen with this change. Quickness stacking was fun but might stack was what Rangers really needed. Stability too will go a long way to making us more survivable. Thanks for fix.
