“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Why can't I call my wolf Llama?
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
It may be offensive somewhere in the world. They have an insanely overzealous language filter. At one point Spanish speakers weren’t allowed to use the word “kitten” which simply means black in Spanish. I dunno if they ever fixed that.
Oh for gods sake, they changed the word to kitten. Well google black in spanish if you don’t already know.
It may be because Llama has “lama” in it, as in the “Dalai Lama”. GW2 does not allow the names of religious figures, if I recall right.
I have three characters with the word Llama in their names that I made at release, but now I can’t make a new character with the name. I am pretty sure it is because of the religious denotation of the word Lama with only one “l”.
With the filters in this game you’d expect the population to be a bunch of crybaby 12yearolds who find everything and anything offensive to them.
On a side note, they really need to stop banning people for ‘offensive language’ that’s what the flipping filter is there for……….
I am just a little upset because I deleted an older character (it was only level 17) to use its name just to find out that the filter won’t let me use the name for a new one.
My Siamoth is named Pat Fenis.
It’s funny to me because I have a juvenile sense of humor.

Very frustrating.
I have been using ‘Darth Llama’ as my name for years and it’s how everyone in my Guild knows me. I could not however, use this name on my Guardian because of this STUPID frikkn’ rule. I put an extra ‘A’ in it and named him Darth Llaama.
I seriously couldn’t believe it wouldn’t let me use it. Half the reason I have this name is because it’s so stupid I know that no one else is going to have it. lol
as far as I recall there was an animal called something around that and in some places its great abuse for someone if you will tell on him “he is Llama” somekind of much more abusive verison of “he is nooooooooob”
“-and on this occasion I keep mine plate armors”
