I have just about all the pets, but I really want the wolf. According to the wiki, it’s only in the Eternal Battlegrounds. Is this right? I don’t WvW and the one time I went in to search the area was contested and amidst a mighty battle (obviosuly).

It’s in the Eternal Battlegrounds, around the top of Umberglade Woods, next to the rocks. It’s the only place I’ve ever seen it.

You can find them after completing a “Kill the Den Mother!” group event in Queensdale, it doesn’t pop up on the map, has a high spawn time, and only spawns 1-2 juvenile wolves per event, the event is fun as hell granted, but it’d be significantly easier and faster to just go to eternal battlegrounds.

Thanks guys. I was hoping to find a better way but I guess I’ll just have to keep checking the WvW map for when we control Umberglade.

I got mine in the Eternal Battleground personally, and it was when it was not controlled by my server. I just ran through as far away from any battles as I could and eventually snagged it, and then left.

Just remove your armor (you take armor damage in WvW) and run through staying as far away from any players or contested areas (marked on the map with swords icon).

Stow your pet and just book it with Call of the Wild and swoop (make sure to turn off auto targeting) it’ll get you there very quickly and very safely… oh yeah, don’t go onto roads, ever, and if you can swim underwater do so, a lot of players for w/e reason REFUSE to go into water unless they absolutely have to.

It’s simple, robes shrink, leather chaffes, and metal rusts when it gets wet. Makes it hard to fight.

@Seras, it was a pretty easy run to get mine, then re-ran it minutes later to take a guildie to get his. We were spawning in on the 3-o clock entry point in EB and simply hugged the rightmost edge going counter-clockwise up to the wolf parked literally on the outer edge at about 1 o’clock on the map. Chew through a few NPC mobs along the way but the PvP fights were almost exclusively in and around the keeps.

I will say I have since seen wolves out in the PVE world, but being momentarily useless I cannot remember where, but they are out and about. EB should be easy tho and yes, it is a gorgeous pet.

LOLL I just went to find the wolf pet a few days ago. Got slaughtered by swarms of enemy. I don’t think I went at a very good time, they were pushing our server hard. All that just for my pet. xD If only I could talk to them LOL Be like I come in peace, escort me xD My thief friend survived fine tho. I wish we had some sort of slight stealth like a camoflage, which would make sense since rangers are a wilderness survival/adventurer type class. But details for that might have to be worked out.

All worth it though. Such a gorgeous pet! and Fear rocks. Running with two wolves now

Well guys I got my wolf and it’s a beautiful animal. I zoned into EB at the 12 o’clock portal, stripped naked, whippped out my horn and booked it along the north-eastern ridge. Saw a couple PvP battles off to my right, whispered an apology for not helping an ally, blew my horn (that’ll help him right?), and took off. As soon as I got my faithful friend, I ported back to gates and whisked myself back to PvE-land.

You can get Krytan Drakehounds and White Wolves in normal PvE areas and they are the same class as wolf, just with different f2 abilities.

Yes, as does greasing down with all the butter we seem to be finding in drops now. Seriously…butter should provide an extra dodge.

^this is true. and cinammon should give extra protection from tigers.

We don’t want the Krytan Drakehounds and White Wolves, Jhu. The whole point is the F2 ability.

We do have that. It’s a trait for when we get stunned.
