since next week officel hot trailer its seems druid wont be reviald next week, witch means that we have 3 weeks before hot and one week is betta week.
will druid be ready to the next beta event ?

Were did you get the information about the hot trailer? And even if so, it doesn’t mean there won’t be a reveal next week. They don’t dare doing the 3. BWE without druid, that’s for sure. ^^

For the beta? Not a chance. I highly doubt druid will be close to being ready in time for release, but that won’t stop them from tossing it in the game in whatever sorry state it is in.

Well since the regular ranger still isn’t ready I stand by my statement.

I saw the announcement yesterday on facebook. The trailer will be on twitch next friday.

We’ll see what’s what on Monday. If there’s no teaser image for the Druid going up that day on Twitter of Facebook, we won’t be getting the reveal next week.

Highly unlikely they’re going to showcase Druid next week in my opinion. They’re going to release the trailer and be busy with TwitchCon. They’ll also be busy fixing the meat and potatoes of the game and fixing any big glitches. I’m willing to bet they’ll have another beta weekend without druid and then adjust druid spec after HoT goes live.

There would be so much rage if thats the case. I cant imagine that that would be good for anets PR

I’m brooding in silent angst right now and I just want to shake the developers by their shirt collars and yell frustrated obscenities in their faces.

Don’t forget we still may get revealed in the “ready up” show with Joshua Davis or perhaps a new show format for the upcoming HOT.

I’m not even a ranger player yet the idea of a caster ranger excites me… It’s so nebulous right now that I’m getting angsty aswell … it better be revealed along the scrapper on this last PoI !

Well it looks like Anet has until the end of that show (5 min into the POI will probably be a more realistic spot) to mention when, if at all, they will give the full druid reveal. I can already tell this will not go well if not handled now. I know i’m finally starting to lose my patience and I’m sure others are running low on it too.

Yeah, just heard this from a mod on the GW2 twitch stream too. They might have planned it so that they can show off all the last bits of info all in one event, rounding it up with the release trailer as the big finale of it all.

They will present Druid at TwitchCon to an audience that couldn’t care less, it will be a 5 min video of someone clowning around with Druid in non relevant open world to show off Maguman with Ruby Bayer talking about how awesome and cute druid is, adding that she never played ranger. And youtube video will have horrible sound quality. Good tihs Anet, good tihs.

That does sound pretty horrible.

Add in 30s worth of comments about Grouch’s Bearbow Bandit, his Bear, his Bear getting stronger, being able to use his machine gun with staff, asking if staff will be like a machine gun, and the presentation interrupted during the trait segment to do on-the-fly balancing.

Let’s see:
I’ll guess 3 sec per trait (read the name + mouse over to allow people to screen shot), so (3*12) 36 seconds total
About 10 seconds per skill, (10*10) 1:40 minutes
An introduction explaining druids overall and jokes about the delay, I’ll guess about 1 minute.
So I’m guessing an presentation of 3:16 minutes and with some delays maybe 4 minutes.

I sincerely hope Grouch doesn’t sit in or participate in the Druid reveal in any way.

im just a bit concerned there wont be time for bug fixing and iteration… you need imo 2 beta weekends to get somewhere near ready, first to find initial gaps and the second to test the made improvements and to fine tune…

Eh, ideally I would rather have Gaile or someone familiar with Ranger present Druid.

I’m sure it will be fine; however, I do believe this will be a make it or break for most people if they keep their rangers as their main or demote it to a secondary class for Revenant or another spec. (at least for a couple of months)

We’ll see. The Scrapper PoI actually gave me an inkling of hope that they might have done some interesting things with Druid to make it fun and useful.

I’m gonna preface this by saying it’s entirely just -my- opinion.

The lead behind the Scrapper being the lead behind the Druid doesn’t make me more confident in our elite spec. Things can be very polarizing. An example would be Reaper and Berserker who are also both done by the same person. I think the Reaper is actually effective, while the Berserker is completely kittening lost in purpose and still will be after the BWE2 iterations go in.

The one thing that DOES give me confidence is the fact that it’s the Druid who is going to be shown at Twitch Con.

Isnt the point of classes to attract all different kinds of playstyles for all different kinds of players in the first place? Why would they purposely do this guys cmon think logically.

I think you missed my point. Otherwise, how exactly do you equate a dedicated POI to a reveal at a convention? Do you really think they are going to spend an hour on the Druid?

They don’t need an hour to reveal Druid. The only reason those POI’s go for so long is because rubi can’t stop rambling about stupid stuff.

POI’s would be much better if they were 15 min long and straight to the POInt.
