[solved] I math good
Swoop’s tooltip is bugged.
It deals way less damage than Maul.
No it’s not, maul is probably the hardest hitting single ability a ranger has and it puts up bleeds ontop of that, where are you getting this bullkitten from?
That doesn’t look right. Based on your own spreadsheet, you’ve got the auto attack dealing 1594 damage over 1.71 seconds. That’s 927 dps. Maul is dealing 1366 in .825 seconds. That’s 1655 dps.
When full berserker geared and spec’d, Maul hits for around 4500 damage on crit (without considering bleeds), whereas each auto attack hits around 1500 on crit. Swoop on the other hands hits around 2100 on crit, but has a long attack animation.
P.S. We’re rangers, not hunters…
Nemata Sapshield – Dragonhunter
Lillian Estre – Tempest
To go with the post above about the high damage for Maul, I hit a 10k against a veteran guard with full beserker gear on, where swoop is less than half that damage

Just posting to say we’re Rangers, not Hunters.
Oh and yeah, Maul is my big numbers attack. Swoop takes awhile to hit.
Swoop does weaken your dps when used in melee range compared to autoattacking due to the animation time. Beside that it is generally wise to keep your gapcloser for when you actually need it because the target moves or you wanna disengage. Also you get more evades like that. Always Maul when possible though!
