We are never safe from nerfs. Even when we get “buffs” it’s a nerf.
And the saddest part about it is that my above statement is not a troll/lie….
We could just end up having stealth nerf as a “buff” and then have nothing done to us for months while all the other classes get buffs :/

Give me a break. Pipe down. The initiative buff is a great buff.
The CS nerf was a buffer update so that when they release the crit damage nerf, there will be minimal outcry since most Thief builds have abandoned the CS trait line long time ago.
I savor on the sweetness of every buff I can get.
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
If you are looking to get a dev response, the profession balance forum might be a better section for that. It’s the primary place they’ll be going to in order to read player opinions, suggestions, and feedback on balance issues, so it’s also the most likely place they’ll post a response on anything. There may have been more frequent dev posts in the profession specific forums back in the day because there wasn’t a separate balance forum.
This forum is generally meant for more player-to-player oriented topics, such as build demos, skill questions, and strategizing.

This 50 times over. It was a great buff. It opens up far more in the way of builds.
Frankly, I never notice much of a difference between the two Initiative systems.
Yes, it’s nice to play D/D without Infusion of Shadows and D/P can no longer chain-stealth thanks to it but that’s about the extent of the impact I noticed.
If I remember correctly my calcs I lost about 12-15 initiative per minutes to the nerfs (opportunist, the signet and the acrobatics line nerf) and gained 15 initiative to the baseline initiative regen buff. I know I’m somewhat the exception but . . . not a “MASSIVE” buff for some.
Acrobatics trait line. Then sell it back
to them for $50. Brilliant! – ghost of P.T. Barnum

It’s not “massive,” I agree, but it’s a great buff since it free-up some skill points that I now enjoy placing in the Trickery trait line.

The buff to initiative regen helped me get rid of Infusion of Shadow and replace it with Shadow’s Embrace. For me that’s a pretty sweet buff
There were winners and losers with the initiative change, and they still need to clean up some traits that are kinda lollerskates now, but overall it was a positive change for the class. Not sure that’s really disputable at this point, now that builds have had time to adjust.
Ha! There’s a dev post on front page now… locked :|
