Guild Wars 2

Ever since the latest patch I can’t hear thief shortbow skills anymore untill they hit the target. I kinda like how it sounded. Is this intentional or a bug? just wondering what’s going on here.

I kind of like it. It gives that silent assassin vibe. I kind of wish it would apply to every Thief skill :-P

especially cloak and dagger. i mean it kinda ruins the idea of stealth when you howl like a banshee right before hitting with it.

It’s a buff. Thief is balanced now.

So is it intentional? Quite frankly i find it annoying as kitten. I want to hear cool sounds. Heck even a slight woosh sound would suffice to keep it in tune with the stealthy assasin style.

I also made bug report in game and mail with arenanet and they are trying to solve it.

As long as they don’t touch the now fluid backpedal from #3 I’m fine with whatever sound they want.

I actually like that i don’t hear that high pitched weird sound from sb anymore. I enjoy the current deep sublime tones (i do hear the entire animation sounds, just not the high tones ones).

I started to play this beautiful profession right before the patch which broke the sounds I guess…
Not sure what weapons I like, I remembered equipping the bow, firing a few shots and switched back to cold metal in my hands (daggers).

Like the next day, the sound was gone. And I tought: Fine, it’s my ranged “stealth” weapon (contrary to the pistols) and all the other skills do make noise.. But now it bothers me a bit, because the impact sound on soft targets is so weird, like someone is playing basketball. Tf..tf..tf-tf..

Because I turn off the music in all games, I need a great audio design, and basketball sounds by followed grunting and painful sounds is so dumb…
