I really think Daredevil beats out Dragonhunter for the worst elite specialization name. I’m holding my breath in hopes of it being something different, since I’m already disappointed in the weapon.

Give me throwing knife kits and a new name and I’m happy. Haha.

I mean really though… It’s like giving rangers fist weapons and calling them Wolverines.

I realize daredevil has it’s own meaning, but it’s too close to Marvel’s Dare Devil who uses a staff (albeit it splits into two batons or what have you), when you have 1000 other things to call the specialization.

They can do much better than that…

given the tagline this week, perhaps Deceiver would be a fitting name?

Just another guy thinking “daredevil” would be kind of a silly choice for a name. Gambler or vagabond got much nicer rings to them. If we must make it a marvel knockoff, I prefer Gambit.

Or perhaps we’ll get some sort of shadow magic with it. Maybe a bit of voodoo and soul stealing. Better be good, or the shadowman gonna get you.

Daredevil is an actual word beyond the hero name~ “a reckless person who enjoys doing dangerous things.” Pretty much what we already are since we can instadie at any moment when leaping into the middle of a battle.

While the name is not my favorite. I can’t really think of any other names that would suit it. Assuming the daredevil is in the acrobat trope the only names I can think of are acrobat and stuff that has to do with the circus.

An “Enforcer” really would be the type of criminal to use a staff or club.

The Daredevil name was never a problem to me, but I was somewhat skeptical of the concept.
It has grown on me, however. The idea of many of the datamined abilities have kindled some hopeful enthusiasm in me.

I for one like the name Daredevil, perhaps we should wait and see what the elite spec actually does before proposing our own (95% terrible) alternative names.

Dragonhunter I can kind of understand, even if that’s still an overreaction, but Daredevil is actually a cool name. Way better than some generic “Assassin” or “Shadow Dancer” that pops up in, oh, every other fantasy MMO ever.
