its working like anet wants it to work. ( its more or less good timing to use it )
Ow on a side note you not allowed to use macros.. so no programming the timing without a good chance of getting banned.
anet has the 0 tolerance against macros users.
1 button press = 1 skill
1 button press = multiple skills in a row with macros = warning / ban
macros made with naga razer mouse and logitec gaming keyboards aren’t allowed
use at your own risk i would say. But don’t be surprised when a ban-wave comes and you are in it

You gotta be kiding me. Its there everywhere. And frankly, the timing to pull of C&D+steal its the easiest thing on earth, why would one need a macro is beyond me. You can see it in streams. And videos posted here, too. The zero tolerance with any kind of macros, hacks, exploits, bots, etc, is non existant. A couple of days ago I received in my inbox, of THIS very same forum im writing, a message from a GOLD seller offering me their services. That is the extent of it. I made a post about it, which was promptly closed.
Professions like mesmers, eles and engies are prone to macroing, due to the nature of their combos. Mesmers had the widely known shatter macro. What did they do? They made shattering spaced in between clones. Brilliant, hiding their head in the sand. Eles, due to their cross attune combos, are prone to macroing too. And Engies. All f1-f4 profs can fall prey to this. Hackers are everywhere. Exploiters too (what exactly is an exploit? if the doors allow you to trespass with a glitch or teleport, is it the players fault?).
These things are the kind of things that bother me the most in this game, it basically downgrades the game to Call of Duty level. A curious thing about thief most common macro: the haste+heartseeker macro, after you go invis, where 1 button makes you do several heartseekers in a row while hasted, to make it glitch with invisibility, its that this will turn heartseeker into a chanelled skill, capable of following a thief in stealth, like ranger rapid fire. And what about the “travelseeker” macro, to work as auto run but better, back when you could swap weapons to avoid the initiative spending in heartseeker? Take a look at it:

Zero tolerance? Go WWW and watch in awe as players without swiftness travel faster than my perma swift thief with shortbow. They glitch everywhere. And lots of invisibilty too, without touching me with cloak and dagger. Highly enjoyable.
Am I being overly cinical ad critic? yes. I hate the lot of them cheaters. All pressure I can put to try to force some actions from Anet is still not enough. The absence of real actions and fixes like the mesmer fix only encourage this kind of population to continue to ruin the experience for all others.
