They said zerker will still be the top dps set, don’t flush the news down the toilet so soon. We should of all seen this day coming, crit dmg is insane and is the center of speed runs in pve, hard to make inventive and fresh content when all it requires is quick killing.

But really dude, I spent 1 hour watching the stream just to hear them say they nerfed choking gas. They obviously haven’t spent enough time on balancing the thief. It seems like they only nerfed choking gas just because it was like the engineer’s poison field.

They’ve said i think multiple times that a lot of things were left out and will be included in the patch notes (supposedly good things for the thief). So… yeah aside from a nerf we will be getting random buffs… Traps/Hard-to-catch/Healing-power/venom random buffs…

So, ascended gives 4.75% stats to zerk over exotic dps, and they are nerfing the overall dps by 10% to every zerk set.

As a developer, I would not choose that route as a long term solution. Long term if you keep down that path, you wind up with any number of hard coded modifiers that are not easily changed, and have unintended side effects. I think Ferocity is the right approach. Using it to apply a reduction is debatable.

Or they couldn’t have simply increased mob armor instead of always increasing their health pool when they scale them. All of a sudden condis can burn through the high armor, small health pool as fast or faster than direct damage.

do u have anything saying otherwise?

is +20 something pwoer and +18 ish precision = more than 5% extra dmg when you are int he 700 ish range on each? plus base stats and trait stats? LOL

No and no. Do you have a source that you’d want to share because I couldn’t find anything remotely definitive.

Ascended berserker ring has 8% crit chance, exotic with ruby 6%, the other trinket all got +1% crit damage. Everything added up Ascended gear has 150 more power (220 with power infusions), 50 more precision and critical damage goes from +62% to +71%.

Why don’t you try and work out all the details on damage and crit damage and when it’s closer to your +5% then to +15% for full berserker ascended compared to full berserker exotic you come back, show me your calculations and I’ll redo mine if necessary.

10% better P/D thief build, HA. Wish I say the brighter side of things but I rarely do, guess its a side affect for playing thief.
