Hey there,
Am I the only one that hates the Last Refuge trait in the Shadow Arts line? Countless times I hit that 25% mark and it puts me into stealth at the worst time.. It wouldn’t be a problem if the [Revealed] wouldn’t trigger but because I can’t know exactly which blow is going to set it off, sometimes I’ve already used a Cluster Bomb (or whatever be the case) and I’m revealed at <25% health. Basically…. Let me turn it off! =) I would try to just rework my traits to get off the Shadow Arts line but it’s my favourite one!
I have to admit that there are a few times when running from a zerg or something that it has saved me.. but I’m certain that this trait has done me more harm than good.

Last Refuge: Hated since 2012.

PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.

If they changed it so: “Last refuge no longer gives revealed debuff”

It’d be a pretty good trait. This has been one of the most complained about thief traits, I’d be surprised if it’s not changed in the upcoming patch

If they just got rid of the thing altogether I would contemplate moving trait points to SA.

I refuse to use the SA line because a skilled player can force me into revealed. I don’t even care about him knowing where I am as much as I care about the fact I can’t use my stealth attacks.

There’s another problem. It triggers when you’re already revealed, which means, it does nothing but proc a Confusion damage. Picture it, you’re revealed, with a Confusion on you, then you went down to 25% health, then Last Refuge triggers —- nooooooo! Yup, you’re down.

Glad I’m not alone.. I don’t think its a terrible trait. I just feel like it’s not accomplishing what they set out for it.

It’s been broken and hated ever since they added the Reveal Mechanic while overlooking it. I’ve still yet to see Anet ever respond to the overwhelming hatred of this trait and I really don’t understand why.

If a trait or thief’ skill is under used or is giving thieves many troubles, then is working as intended.
If a thief’ skill is giving troubles to the other classes, then it’s clearly a bug or not working as intended and needs to be fixed

Thief might not be as strong as last year
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!

They should have the trait stop everything the thief is doing so it won’t accidentally kill the thief. And not prof when the thief already have the revealed debuff.
