Looking for some advice on CM Explorable
Have you tried Smoke Screen and Dagger Storm? Smoke Screen blocks all enemy projectiles going through it. It’s really quite amazing.
I’ll have to give that one a go next time, thanks!
Get a pistol offhand, use daggerstorm and shadowstep to close distance, then spam black powder while your teamates close in.
Works every time.
When your in CM as a theif you have 3 roles:
Stealthing teamates past easily avoided spawns.
Blinding and blocking ranged attacks.
Turning off traps.
There’s quite a few locations in the dungeon with riflemen, so which part are you talking about?
Resident Thief
The dungeon always has the riflemen at the end of a hallway of sorts, it works in pretty much all of the parts, the only exception is the big room where they spawn on opposite sides, but for that part you just run under the stairs.
The specific rough spot that got me asking is the canyon right before Turmaine. There are riflemen and gunners. and one of those oh so fun bandit cannon.
Just went through this instance took the asura path. We dominated it. With my S/P build I was doing more dps then the rest of the party combined and was out tanking the guardian. They weren’t bad or anything…lvl 80s, some exotics but not full sets.
You just need a build that’s tough as nails to do dungeons properly and then you’ve got to know what’s coming. you can’t waltz into a room without knowing there’s 15 bandits that will own you…
Your problem it seems is you’re investing too heavily into Shadow Arts which is agro central. As a thief you don’t want agro…that gets you killed too quickly.
Next problem is you’re running D/D. /D while not horrible is not a weapon set that promotes extreme survivability or consistent dps. You’re clearly built as a burst thief.

Hmm… not sure on how shadow arts is agro central. running Shadow’s Rejuvenation, Shadow Protector and Hidden Thief, mostly to provide a beefy AoE heal that works well for res/recovery.
I suppose it is a bit burst heavy though…. I keep thinking of putting together a separate set of armor for dungeons on more of a Vitality / Toughness line.
How are you traited Babel?
