No Reason for Revealed in PvE
I’d love for stealth to last even longer in PvE, but really the length was never a problem for me. The change so it doesn’t drop agro anymore and it’s super easy to interrupt, that’s a huge problem in PvE. Like you said, we’re supposed to be the class that can get away – we really aren’t anymore.
There are differences between PvP and PvE that need to be accepted and dealt with separately or they’re going to ruin one for the sake of the other. (or just foul it all up and ruin it for both)
I’m sorry I stepped outta yer box, don’ worry, if
ya whine enough they’ll put me right back.
There is a pro and a con when it comes to mobs dropping aggro.
Scenario #1 (drops aggro): Fighting a Level 80 Vet Mob and it’s almost going down. Stealth to backstab – invulnerable – mob dropped aggro – nooooooooooo!
Scenario #2 (no drops): I walked into a hornet’s nest – Stealth – they’re staring at me – revealed – dead – noooooooo!
Which scenario do you prefer?

PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
The agro system with the pathetic downed state skills is even more hilarious.

Pretty much this. If absolutely nothing else, Smoke Bomb needs to last several seconds longer and drop all aggro.

Personally, I encountered #2 a lot more than #1. More importantly, as mentioned in my original post, when it comes to PvE Stealth serves a more critical function defensively than it does offensively.
No offense intended, but I frankly don’t find this to be a very convincing argument.
I’m quite convinced that Smoke Bomb was intended to just do the silly downed state stealth attack.
Revealed prevents you from stealthing inbetween the relatively long attack patterns of some enemies otherwise completely nullifying any likelihood of them attacking.
Not that this doesn’t happen with /P, but this would then also trivialize many boss encounters (whom otherwise are largely immune to blind).
PvE as well cannot handle a lack of Reveal.

- has only really happened to me on Lupicus, where he resets if im in stealth for even a fraction of a second. Makes me think that they put this nerf in because they didn’t really want to fix him..

Like I said, there are pros and cons in either situation. I don’t want mob to drop aggro when I’m close to kill them, it’s just stupid and annoying, but at the same I want them to drop aggro when I’m not in a mood to fight or simply just gathering.
I personally prefer that they don’t drop aggro because resetting after a long fight is simply not fun.
But as far as Revealed is concerned, I agree that it should stay in PvP.

- without a doubt. Playing BS build exclusively in PVE since BWE#1, what you describe has NEVER been an issue. Mobs resetting only ever occurred on extended stealths and could be prevented by applying any condition.
make stealth drop you through the agro table depending how long you are in stealth, in a team situation that would allow for even a second stealth to take the heat off you, in solo PvE it would mean you could still break agro but you’d have to wait at least the full duration for it to fully remove you from the agro table (maybe add in a distance calculation so if your still hugging the enemy as you hit the 3 seconds of most stealth it doesnt remove you but if your already 3 towns over the mobs don’t bother looking for you)
Having it just instant aggro drop or just no aggro drop sort of screws stealth over in 2 different ways, specially when it comes down to things like smoke bomb which is entirely pointless now in PvE

I disagree. Often times, when I stealth to get behind the enemy, by the time I get behind them they already dropped aggro.
EDIT: Kraits were even worst. They dropped aggro as soon as I stealth.
