And they missed a huge chance to make it better with some small torment, but they threw it to the window.
Well, I think a 25% increase in Ricochet…but yeah that’s about it. So sad, I really like the P/P look/style.
I really like the looks too, I dream of the day they make it a viable set, but it’s still a mathematical pile of garbage.
Agreed – they missed the opportunity to add torment to #2.

The change to Ricochet was nice, and needed, but no, it’s not going to be much better.
Body Shot was never the problem with P/P, it’s always been Vital Shot and Unload. Vital Shot is still weaker than it should be, which forces you to rely on Unload as your primary DPS source. Since it shares a resource with the 3 utility skills, it breaks all 3 of them indirectly by causing your DPS to dip more than it should trying to use them.
In short, they don’t know what they’re doing.
They did nothing for p/p or p/d.
I think the change to Ricochet; correct me if I’m wrong to help with leveling without resorting to the shortbow when fighting groups (especially in story mode). Otherwise it doesn’t seem to be awfully useful in PvE, PvP or WvW, maybe a little WvW…

Ricochet+SoM spamming Unload at a 5 man team at a cap point will give HGH engi a run for his money.

ugh i want P/P to be buffed, I love that look & playstyle …
P/P definitely needs more love than a Master trait that “Maybe sometimes” gives you something “almost” as good as shortbow’s -baseline- auto-attacks.
Its just stupid…
Better…. hmmm yeah, worth using…hmmmm no not IMHO
and refuses to spare the life in return for the surrender at discretion (unconditional surrender)
of a vanquished opponent.
P/P is horrible, if you want a decent ranged class try ranger, Shortbow is better in every single way, even after its range nerf.
You even get more DPS with a pet and a dumbfire tank :)

To snipe ppl from range P/P => SB all day.
Ricochet change was very nice ( and needed ) but you basicly have to go x/30/x/x/30(20) – but well if you are that deep in trickery you should go for SoH anyway.
You can try something like x/10/x/x/20 and go from there ., but unload without 30 in CS hits like a wet noodle…. so imho 30 in CS is mandatory.
In 1v1 and tPvP i play P/P from time to time, depending on teamsetup ( and nmy classes ) and a really think its > SB in some cases .
Also gets you a BP for those safestomps ( most of the time ).
