Reaper>Daredevil?
If the reaper has plenty of life force to make good use of the new stability skill, perhaps.
If it doesn’t, you can pretty much go nuts as outside of reaper, the necro does not have a lot of defense versus crowd control.
I don’t think it hard counters it. Outside of Reaper Shroud, you can pick the Reaper apart with cc’s. While in Reaper Shroud, you can simply keep evading him and maybe back away and get distance till he leaves Reaper Shroud and then come back in and kill him.
Reaper can annihilate a Thief in close range but you gotta know how to play around it.
Is it true that reaper hard counters daredevil
The honest answer right now is we don’t know because we haven’t had a chance to play both let alone have them fight each other.
You guys know there is a thread in Necro Forums that says “Is Daredevil the super hard-counter to Reaper?” right.
Both sides worried ? Imho a melee Thief will have harder time vs a Reaper then a standard Necro but interupting a Repaer is easier. See a pretty even fight tbh.
Servant of Dhuum
We can clear their massive chills if we spec for it, or with withdraw/ini evade.
Is it true that reaper hard counters daredevil
And how the hell are we supposed to know if none of us has even played DD.
lol, in necro community
daredevil > reaper
make peace with brains bros
The funny thing is that on necro forum there is the exact opposite topic.
“Daredevil; super-hard counter to Reaper?”

Dash alone makes Reaper completely irrelevant. How can a thread like this spawn? Daredevil may actually be too strong against Reaper considering how slow their attacks are and how easy it is for them to remove chill.

Only GS is slow. Reapers can use other weapons as well as reapers shroud, which is as fast as their daggers. Also their great sword skill #2 , grave digger, got a 50% damage increase. one lucky hit or one careless move and it can down you.
But again till next friday all speculation is pointless.
why next friday??
daredevil won t be avaiable on 4th sept

“you’ll be able to try out the chronomancer, dragonhunter, reaper, and tempest, as well as the newly announced elite specializations: berserker, and herald, as well as the thief specialization we’ll announce later this week.”

wow.. i have to pay better attenction.. i red another thing
well.. i’m very happy now, bought pre-exp last week
Without Reaper’s Shroud, the necromancer is extremely squishy. Even squishier than a necro without Deathshroud.
But we cannot say for sure if they counter us, let alone hard counter. I would say that we have on equal footing. What I can say for sure is that against them, you either trait Escapist’s Absolution or Impacting Disruption.
Thief – Raiden Hayabusa
Thief – Gouki Kurokawa
Funny, on our forums the question is “Does DD hardcounter Reaper?”. Because Reapers are f’ing slow and easily interrupted, and you deal that 2k damage delayed skill each time you interrupt (if you choose the trait), and with the interrupting daggers you can increase the CD of 3 of our already pretty high CD skills… And we will most likely never ever hit you due to your dodgespam and us being, again, really slow.
Keep in mind that necros have lifesteal wells. That means they do damage and heal with the same move.
I’m blown away by how people say necro is the worst but they have minions, lifesteal, conditions, wells, and other goodies.
Closest thing we have to lifesteal are the shadow refuge fields we put over the close ranged people fighting champions or world bosses to heal them as shadow refuges creates a lifesteal combo with projectiles.

Three things : No active (and scaling) defenses. No escapes. No gapclosers.
Oh and our lifesteal is crap compared to warriors who have all the above.
Lifesteal wells? What? That’s supposed to be sustain, that 43 healing per tick we get 2 or 3 times before people walk out of our wells?
The only build that has close to good life steal sustain is cleric MM, and that build is incredibly weak to burst.
Still I will say that you forum warriors should try to stop comparing classes based on 1v1 potential. The reapers kit is designed around having better damage, utility, and survivabikity in team fights, not 1v1s. Meanwhile thief is probably one of the worst classes in a dragged out team fight. They only go in, get a burst off, and get out before they’re focused (although evade spam thief did better there but with much less burst damage), or help out with an SR Rez/stomp or burst a fleeing target down. They can’t be in thick of the fight, on the point, dealing high damage while tanking damage like an appropriately built reaper can (base necro is somewhat weak there by comparison).
So yeah realistically, in a 1v1 the reaper just has to stay alive for long enough to get a reinforcement. And if built appropriately that should be very easy to do.
tldr: reaper is team fight based while dare devil is more 1v1 based so stop trying to make these obviously flawed comparisons.
