S/P stun/daze lock build (+video)
30/0/0/20/20 right now which focuses on immobilize and to pin down a person like a bunker guardian for your teammates to wear down then.

For those of us who use S/P, I’d like to know what other builds are usable in soloQ/teamQ
And what other traits do you use in this very common 10/30/0/0/30?P.S. With PW back I went straight 400 positions to #48 in soloQ, so I guess it can indicate how useful it is in solo :P
I don’t play PvP (just WvW), but I run 30/30/0/0/10 with Lyssa runes, Knight armor and Zerker accessories.
In solo arena I’ve tried running S/P with the 10/30/0/30/0 build that S/D is commonly used with, with Energy sigils. A lot of fun, actually.

s/p pistolwhip is less viable couse of sword return nerf so is s/d
no longer viable.
Ehh, s/p is still okay. It’s never really been super popular (at least after the quickness nerf).
The nerf to inf strike sucks, but it doesn’t make the set useless. I can still roam in wvw fine with it. I just have to be more careful with who and when I engage.
I don’t get how the nerf in IR makes the sword no longer viable… I still don’t have trouble dealing with stun… Sure it’s a bit more risky, but “no longer viable” is just a lie

Don’t know about it viability, but in my Queues (top50-100 eu) I barely have problems.
Yesterday I was playing vs Sizer for about 10-15 games and result was like 50/50.
Set is well rounded and you always have a chance to outplay your enemy by timing your steal and inf.signet+pistol whip. By this moment, I can also add, that shadow return nerf hurts, but you still can get used to it and achieve some good results.
Also, after yesterday sparring with Sizer I tweaked some traits and stats, but it require some testing to prove its functionality first before posting it here.
Yeah, I’ve found that the Inf Return nerf isn’t all that bad once you’re used to it.
Done some tPvP today and s/p is doing quite well actually 10/30/0/30/0
Nerf to sword is really a shame. Would be nice if they would revert/make the changes to inf return different so it wouldn’t hurt the “smart” play we could do with it but i guess that’s a dream…
