Stop crying.
I don’t go to other forums and complain about other classes. In fact, I take my losses and learn from them unlike half of the bad players on this game.
If I complain about something, its about bad players who would rather stay bad than put forth effort to better themselves.
Did I have any issues doing whatever I wanted to do on my thief before? No. Do I have any issues now? No. Will I ever have any issues? No. I don’t understand how this is such a big deal to so many people. If little changes like this impact your play that much, maybe you should think about rerolling or just not even play this game. If half of you spent as much time actually focusing on bettering your play instead of worrying about every little change, maybe you would still be fine. If you play so linear that you can’t adapt, you probably won’t get any better no matter what they change.
It doesn’t matter what class you are on, or what build you want to play. The playerbase of this game isn’t exactly above average. So if you know how to play, you are going to win. I honestly love changes. Not even just for my main class, but all of the others as well. I love the fact that I can spend a few minutes reading the patch notes for all the other classes and know what I need to adapt to. Why don’t more people have that mindset? If you want to walk around destroying people learn how to do it, don’t just cry because one spec or a few skills took a hit. This is a MMO, it’s going to happen. With a little bit of effort, though, you will still succeed at your class whether we are buffed or nerfed into the ground.
Putting a little thought and time into something goes a long way. Oh and one more thing, if none of yall have realized the buff to blinding powder, try Black Powder – Blinding Powder – Cluster – Cluster – Cluster. Just like that, 13s of area stealth just from you.
the funny thing is that you never did 1 tourney, neither Team nor Solo, and still you’re arguing that you can kill everything. I guess you’re point of view is based on pve only (I consider WvW still PvE).
Oh sorry, how dare me. I must not know anything, because I don’t do tournaments. Add something like an arena Gladiator title, that takes more than just playing a lot of tpvp to obtain, and i’ll actually bother. Until then, I could care less. But that’s right, my opinion is invalid. All that matterz is tpvp lawlz, kitten wvwz.
oh finally you understood my point. Now go to play your pve again and let pvpers discussing about pvp balance.
I realy don’t care if you can kill some underlevelled scrubs in WvW while wearing OP gears and foods.
Show me how the thief is better than any other class in the current meta (that didn’t change at all with the last patch and now it’s even worst for thieves).
I can definitely show you how guardians dps, warriors, mesmers and even those UP eles are better than thieves in almost every role required in tPvP, where everyone fights on the same level and where balance should realy matters. When I say that thieves are in a bad spot I’m talking about this, we are being pushed out of the meta cos every other class can support the team much better than us and still people are crying that thieves are OP just because they died to thieves in WvW while wearing green gears. I don’t want to be mean nor superior to anyone but A-Net should understand that the balance should not be based on WvW
I’d gladly get into tpvp just to put you in your place. “let us pvp’ers,” because it takes nothing to be able to handle groups of people while solo right? No? Right. At no point did I say that it is better than any other class in the meta. I simply outlined the importance of the person playing said class. I understand that spvp is different. But to say that just because I prefer something else, I must not be good enough to know what i’m talking about..that’s hilarious dude. Trying to act like WvW is “just pve” is a joke. Like I said, give me a reason to care about putting time into tpvp, and i’d play just the same there.

Well then, better yourself and adapt to reveal from pets.
Is a very good video of thief d/d and s/d

I’m saying that if you don’t know one part of the game, you shouldn’t talk as thieves are fine and it all depends on the player.
I know every aspect of the game since I’ve also played a lot of WvW (and I still consider wvw guards better than many wvw players). I can definitely compare thieves ability in tPvP to every other class cos I’m used to play any class when needed to my team. I’m not saying you’re bad cos I don’t know you, but since you never played tPvP (you have your reason for not doing it) you can’t state that thieves are still in a good spot in every aspect of the game. I also on my thief can handle 5 players at once while roaming solo in WvW but still I don’t consider the class in a good state cos often the people I face seems like bots compared to the people I usually face during my tournaments.
As I said, prove me I’m wrong by showing why I should bring a thief in my team over a CC Warrior (stances or shouts), a dps or bunker guardians, a portal\illusion of life shatter mesmer, a spirit ranger, a far point assaulter engi. But since you never played a tournament your point of view is restricted to the most casual part of the game, like it or not
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!

I don’t need to adapt. Rangers die to d/d conditions. Last time I heard, d/d conditions don’t use stealth so their reveal doesn’t matter. I don’t think you would’ve known that though.
How ’bout dat thief build you are so amazing at using, Sand?
I’ve been waiting for one ever since you started posting on the thief forums.
hint is above. think a little
^ wants you to start listing builds till he can say yes to one of them.
How about you enlighten me* (I don’t care so much about everyone else) instead?
According to your post history, the first post you ever made and another ~95% of every comment you have made were disparaging quips against thieves, “perma-stealth” and stealth in general. You’ve posted 0 builds. Made 0 comments that show valid debate. Showed no knowledge of the class besides “that’s fine” or “perma-stealth thieves are scrubs”. You claim you are amazing with your build and you have “5 alts. all thieves. lol” but you have yet to prove to anyone in the thief forum that you have any real experience with one.
So please, enlighten me. What is your build?
(edited by Zacchary.6183)
i never said it was amazing or that I was amazing. I said that scrubs rely on perma stealth because it’s easymode and that some of us take a more noble road. art thou vexed?
You constantly insinuate that is the case. You make it as though that if it isn’t your way, its scrubby. You’ve even put down people who’ve had WAY more experience and assumed that they are defending a class PURELY because of nerfs/counters to stealth.
It shows that you know nothing beyond the surface which is why I am asking for your build. I know that you know that the moment you post it this forum will tear it apart.
And that would be the trolling
yet I am not the one whining like a victim. I don’t insinuate anything. that’s your reaction.
I can make that assumption because I have been on the thief forums 6x longer and have been playing thief for a year now. I’ve theorycrafted and mathed this profession to death. I know enough to make complaints (or “cry” if you must) about my profession and assumptions about people in relation to thieves. And if I am not on target with those assumptions and complaints I’ve nicked the edge of it.
If you don’t want to post your thief build ever, that is fine. Other thieves will just keep asking for things that show you have some credibility when talking about it. Until then, you are a troll and a bad one at that.

Nope. You directly state blanket insults about the skill levels of others while hiding behind the excuse that you never said you were were better than they were. I guess you got me there.
indeed i suppose I did
I wouldn’t waste any more time trying to talk to this guy
I’m actually surprised Sanduskel has stayed with this conversation so long. Usually when someone brings up a valid complaint about the unhelpful nature of his posts, he skedaddles.
But as it has been said many times, a lot of the complaints about the “Sic ’Em” change weren’t so much about the reveal, but the way the reveal was being implemented as an unavoidable hard counter.
By Ogden’s hammer, what savings!
