The skill queue is still not working well!!
This isn’t how you get devs to take you seriously…this is how you discredit legitimate issues.
That being said I agree with your point about the skills completely. Often times I’ll hit a button to use a skill, it will not activate so I hit it again and BAM my character uses that skill twice. Yeah, because I wanted to use C+D 2x in a row, clearly…
Not sure if this has to do with memory, servers or internet connection but I would like to see a system implemented for specific skills like C+D that are totally unspamable that allows the game to say “oh this person is rapidly pressing a unspamabke skill, we’re only going to use it once”.
The problem is, this really only affects thieves. Pretty much every weapon skill that isn’t an auto-attack has a cooldown, except for the initiative-centric thieves. I hate it too, but I can see why it’s not the highest of priorities.
No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
I’ve noticed this on my Disabling Shot a lot.
It also happens with Heartseeker at times.
I think GW2 needs a setting that says: “If button X is pressed twice within 0.5 seconds, count this as one press. If it is pressed less frequently account for each press individually.”
I’d love the option to turn off skill ques altogether personally.
I also hate when I use infiltrator’s arrows, where it is suppose to be instant cast but sometimes it dont use it instantly. So what happen is I cast it again, then when the game catches up, it just shadowstep me to the same place twice and leaving me with no initiative.
The issue is just you. You have to trust that the client will perform the first keypress, not spam a second keypress. And leave it at that. Think of what to do after, while you wait. It is a small issue at times, for example, like when you are CC’d and need to C&D right after that CC to survive, and end up getting two casts on it. I’ll tell you this; find that ESC key! You can cancel the second cast if you’re fast enough.
It takes some getting used to, and as far as I know, we’re the only class that specifically is punished by this, and only punished in any real regard when using C&D, which seems to me like a good thing as it forces you to play well.
I swear if there was no skill queue system, people would complain about multiple casts of skills because of spamming the skill as well.
Adapt.
