Anyone can provide some tips on how to fight d/p thieves with shatter mesmers?

Tips are really appreciated, but duels will be more helpful. I was planning to do an event for the mesmer guild, like a practice session against thieves.

I like the title.

Use the ample amounts of interrupts available to mesmer class just as he is leaping through black powder.

Assuming the mesmer is playing shatter, there are only sources of interrupts. I-wave and f3. this is with gs and sword/t

double ranged has Chaos storm and that is RNG. so, in practice this is very limiting to the mesmer to save interrupts for BP.

Pretty sure it one of it’s purposes is to help non-thieves as well…

What most people hate are the QQ’ers that don’t want to learn.
Like there’s nothing wrong with ignorance and you want to overcome it. But everything wrong with being ignorant and staying as such by choice.

TEEF is an equal-opportunity guild. Learn how to kill and be killed. The more, the merrier… I think! :-P

But remember, we are thieves, after all. We’re likely to stab you in the back when we feel like it. And with the new changes coming up, it looks like that will remove a condition every time we do! :-D

Elite-specialisation Pirate? Or dear, gonna have to take some name like Teef Sparrow or Edward Teef. I´m praying everyday that it wont something like pirate or burglar. That horror O.O

Personally, I’m hoping for something like Hacker or Spy…

Hacker:
So I can transfer my 1,000+ ping to the enemy team.

Spy:
So I can use a variety of new deceptions to throw the opposition into chaos. Examples would be like…

1. Disguise as another profession… so I don’t look like a squishy thief.
2. Steal a disguise from an opponent to give me all of their abilities.
3. Disguise myself as an opponent. This makes my nametag look friendly to them.
4. Disorient an enemy (or group of enemies), so they all appear hostile to each other… and can damage each other.
5. Put a commander tag on myself (or convert a friendly commander’s tag) that will show up on the opponent’s map, leading them into an ambush.

Method 1: wait until imbalance patch.

Method 2: Interrupt their heartseeker into smoke field, even with blink+F3 combo.

Always use your stuff preemptively, by the time they teleport onto u its too late already. Dodge when get into teleport range, etc.

at the end of your dodge roll you can blink to max range, they might eff up thier steal, or just spam your dodges invulns,stealths consecutively to make them waste steal. Best case scenarion is you dodge into stealth and they use it with no target and goes to full cd.

F2 can remove their blinds in middle of phantasm summon or knockback

U can try to use gs3 against stealthed thieves( u can predict their movement) if you dont get into combat you know they went another way or they dodged)

Sometimes after you immob them you might better be dodgin instead of burst coz they can steal u defensively. or u can go invuln when u suspect a steal.

Try to camp on anti-teleport spots and range them. there are many spots like this you have to jump to get to one usually

Can try to hide behind illusions against shadow shot, but against shortbow standing near illusions means taking double dmg most likely

Mostly it matters on whether u can land ur burst on them
