Players who have pre-purchased will be able to use their beta character slots to create our new profession, the revenant, using the full selection of core specializations, weapons (including underwater combat), and legends. You’ll also be able to play with our new elite specialization system that grows your character professions into new elite specializations. You’ll be able to try out the chronomancer, dragonhunter, reaper, and tempest, as well as the newly announced elite specializations: berserker, and herald, as well as the thief specialization we’ll announce later this week.

And monk? No thanks, Staff rather looks like a kittening one shot machine that should have easy-read-animations and apparently gets his only real defense through dodging and that 10s stunbreak/block
daredevil’s not quite a monk. a monk would be more stances, tanking and healing. DD is more physicals, dodging and evading. also, it looks like DD will be quite different from base thief, so I’m not sure how much there is to teach atm.
Im really hyped tbh… as long as staff is viable and offers a more evasive play style less relying on stealth AND they end up fixing our other weapon sets and lackluster traits eventually, the future could be pretty awesome for thieves.

Well they took 3 years to fix our Necro minions… Your traits should be fixed in 2018.
Serious time : They have been fixing quite a lot recently, and they said there would be a lot of fixing after HoT launches too. The problem with the Elite Specs is that they can’t test whether or not certain combinations are OP effectively; Like they said in a PoI, in the first ~20 minutes of a BWE there is more testing going on than they can realize with their testing teams because of the sheer amount of players trying this stuff out.
