I always thought it was a bug, reason why i never used them.
Now the only things left in order to make the set perfect are:
1. remove the root on auto-attacks that sometimes ( recenlty,more often than before) prevents me to attack while moving.
2. fix the crap out of flanking strike
3. fix ini costs/damage on OH dagger
And then we have our highly competitive, skillful thief set up.

How do you know they suddenly work and what is the daze duration if you have the runes?

Mesmer runes are now working properly.
We can go back owning here and there those instacrap, moronic, burst thieves and go back to tourneys and be useful.

So what’s the daze time with Mesmer runes now?

the daze time now is 2 secs.
The build still lacks damage, the C&D nerf was pretty tough. However, S/D thieves now have a reason to exist, while waiting for the next patch
