Vote guess on the next thief nerf
I heard they’re removing them from the game altogether.

My bet is on Larcenous strike.
To be honest, it’s deserved. It’s bugged so it’s much more powerful than it is supposed to be, at least according to patch notes.

We aren’t ignorant. Its just the thief community being really tired of everyone complaining that one of the most useless classes in the game is OP.
Maybe if people upped their game instead of whined that thieves are killing them, there would be no reason to nerf the thief further and no reason to complain about the constant nerfs.
It would make everyone happier if everyone would just shut up and play the kitten game.

Infusion of Shadow – This trait now works as stated, and will only grant 2 initiative upon entering stealth.
I dunno, it seems like a pretty likely nerf.
Edit: Okay, the skill description can be read both ways. Still, it is a possible nerf.

Totally agree everyone would be happier if the thief community would just shut up and play the game
We do play the game. We also don’t complain when we get killed by someone.
They should make heartseeker cost more initiative since the huge amount of damage it deals + you can spam it heaps of times.
@OP, #4 is impossible since warriors, guardians and engineers can easilly crit above 4k

It’s COMPLETELY possible, and I cite recent example as follows: Mug is the first and only skill ever limited by the feature “cannot critically hit.” With precedents like that set aside just for thief, anything is possible.

Don’t you think this is reading too much into the nerf? Evidently Elementalists’ Arcane skills are overpowered since they always crit. Oh wait, nobody uses more than one.
thief will now be hardcore mode. You get hit once, u die. (not even downed)

8. Reduce backstab damage by 25%

I anticipate capped durations for the stolen boons.
Other possibilities include reducing it to one boon stolen, or increasing the initiative cost of Larcenous Strike to 2.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.

I don’t get angry when I get ganked or lose a duel. I know from reading the thief forums that is how the game is intended to be played and the developers designed it that way.
1. Reduce base damage
2. Reduce base hp
3. Reduce stealth healing/other stealth benefits
4. Make thief incapable of ever critting above 4k
5. Make infiltrator strike cost 4 initiative instead of 3
6. Reduce mug damage by 50% and increase healing by 25%
7. Reduce heartseeker damage by 25%
8. Reduce backstab damage by 25%
9. Reduce sword damage by 50%
10. Make pistol whip have even longer cast time and reduce damage by 25%
11. Call the next nerf a buff
Answers to all ideas:
1. They have said they will increase thief base damage.
2. I doubt not they won’t, already to low.
3. Very few thieves run healing builds, so the healing i think can feel safe, meenwhile the stealth can come perhaps.

Nah man you got it wrong. They balanced them to lose all duels and be the worst class in the game. Look at any other classes and you’ll see.
Reduce vigor duration and reduce his dodge c abilities lol.

To be honest, this is my nerf wish list.
Larcenous strike
-Should only be available if FS hits
-Damage is too high for an unblockable 1 init attack that strips up to two boons. Either make it cost 2 init or reduce the damage.
D/P Build
-I get more counter play vs a D/D thief chaining cnd off of a mob.
-Not sure what can be done to this. On one hand, if they nerf it, it will probably destroy the build. Keep as is, thief can infinite stealth whenever and where ever.

I just started playing a guardian. You wouldn’t imagine how easy it is to tackle things 2-5 levels above me. Amg the buffs. Amg the heals. X3 /giddy
Yep, low levels are easy.
Yep, guardian makes PvE very easy.
Any “nerf” I saw to thieves I’d hope was balanced by giving them more longevity in the vein the developers mentioned in the latest state of the game where they said they wanted to tone down burst (across the board, not just for thieves) and where they discussed how they wanted to give thieves more viability outside of burst.
Try your best to not make mistakes, but, when you do make mistakes, learn from them.
Better yourself.
I havn’t tried it in PvP yet because I want to get used to the guardian mechanics first. PvE is easy enough. Either way….

You will get no arguments from me that guardian is faceroll easy in most content. My 7yr old does wonderful on his, lol.
