Could be an Elite signet if they ever decide to add skills to core professions for missing catagories. Way of the Fox signet with a duration to it to be balanced. A trait that makes “Dual wields” unblockable would be more fair but all attacks would be imbalanced as hell.

Well, it’s better to be OP than UP!

Honestly, I think that’s the way the Thief should be designed anyway. Precision assassins. Know where the enemy’s weakness is and exploit it. Punch through passive defenses also. Ignore boons like Retaliation, Stability, and Protection.

I think the OPness comes when you steal or remove those boons with each attack instead of ignoring them. However, stealing all boons when you down a target… that could be a truly Thiefy thing to do! :-D

If they ever make an elite signet, I’d rather have one with an active effect that reset Steal’s cooldown.

Well like it clear with druids they want healers to be a thing now so its entirely possible damage could go way up and teams are expected to have a full healer or support heal/control player in their compositions.

Either-way devs only provide tools to play the players decide pretty much everything else. The problem is like all games, some things are just insanely good at killing really bad players.

Most games are made up of a majority of bad players who just want to have fun and no one enjoys getting pub stomped/farmed. Thus balance has to have a happy medium between giving pro players something to do/play against and not so pro players a chance to not die instantly.

Maybe not all attacks, but I could see our stealth attacks being unblockable as fairly balanced. After all, how can you block something you don’t see coming?

Stealth attacks being unblockable would make sense, and be less over the top. How does an engi block a backstab from an unseen opponent by holding up a shield in front of him?

Except they never stopped whining long enough for it to become a flashback. The tears started in 2013; flash forward two years and they’re still flowing without end.

I like the thought but I personally dont think it would give us any good gameplay. It would be a crutch and a passive crutch at that.

More boon steal options would be a more interesting way to achieve that same effect imo.

I dont think just making our attacks ignore skillful play is the way to go about it. Thieves shouldn’t just be able to spam their attacks and ignore shields.

I’m just fine with working for wins. That needs to be possible first, and not so possible that it is easy, at that.

Sustain may be a good place to start. scaling up rejuv (slightly) or increasing base vit/toughness seems like it could begin to alleviate the issue.
