Warrior
Far Shiverpeaks
I’ve seen and heard this term thrown around a fair amount. I know it’s based in venoms and the trait that allows you to share it, however what is the significance of the sharing? Why is it so beneficial? And why does it seem to always involved thieves guild?
I’m very new to thief, so please be patient and help out a guy who sucks!
Grandmaster trait that’s 30 points down the Shadow Arts line, allows you to share Venom skills with up to four other people (cap is five, including yourself; you give them the venoms when you activate them, and they will use them when they hit things). It passes across the extra hit from Residual Venom, the effect from Leeching Venoms, and the bonus Might from Venomous Strength as well. Thieves Guild is useful with sharing because each of the two NPCs that arrives count as an “ally”.
Sort of requires that you dedicate your whole build to sharing, otherwise it’s less useful than other setups.
Venoms are skills you have access to. It used to be a thing in WvW n PvP as it just helped you down someone before they could react. Its occasionally useful in WvW n PvP very bad in PvE but you lose so much damage output on it its not worth your time.

The problem with Venoms is that they mostly apply Conditions that are abundant anyway.
Venomshare is a build that exists to give the thief that “support role” feel every profession is supposed to have even though venoms are sub-par support.
Venom share is pretty powerful if used properly. It’s a cc build with devourer and basi. Gotta run refuge. Third venom can be drake or spider. More cc or poison.
You do decent physical damage because of 30da.
Only downside to be on share is usefulness when your venoms are on cd every 36s.
