+1 Between all the nerfs and other professions overboosts, this just has no place balance wise. Bug or no bug, it worked fine from a balance point of view.
If your intend is purely to be able to scream ‘yay we fixed a true bug, we are true codemasters now’, right ok keep the bug fixed, but give thrill of the crime a new purpose, sometimes like if you do X, you get the boons (same duration), cooldown 15-20 seconds. Now that would be good management.
Keep it like this, and you basically trolled us. Yes it’s a bug fix. Yes it made a bad profession worse. That is childish trolling tbh anet. This is far from good business management.
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option

Thief just lost a part of what little support we could offer to the team… Swiftness and fury where nothing great, but it helped when it was missing…
Now I might as well put my thief on leave until their is even 1 thing thief is good at… Maybe at next balance patch or at least I will get a good laugh at all other classes then…

…and pls fix other bugs and rebalance this class.
- No one wants to have a thief in raid.
- Thieves are out of meta.
- Thieves have (now) even less support.
- Thieves are squishy as hell with lower health. (though same with Eles and Guards)
- Thieves damage/sustain balance is garbage compared to other classes. (as example: a necro can have up to 56k Healthbar and still deal good damage while having better sustain.)
- Thieves condi weaponset is disbalanced (D/D Powerset except #3, P/P Condiset except #3), no Access to burning.
- Stealth is almost useless cause of the many aoe, traps and reveal skills in PvP/WvW. That was supposed to be our biggest defensiv skill.
- Other classes can reveal us while the “master of stealth” can’t do anything about it.
- Scorpion Wire is a broken Utility skill, no one cares. Withdraw was promised to have 10% more healing Efficiency, since it has now a longer cooldown. Nothing done til now.
And to top this all, instead of rebalancing our class to make the thief worth playing, A-net is ninja nerfing another skill!!!! WHY???

What a joke anet, did you play your own game? Are there any Devs who play thief? this class is bottom tier in nearly overall modis and what did you do about it? You nerv it once more! What is that for a logic?
The “Bug Fixed” should works like that: If you have a target and it out of range, give you that warning. If you don’t have a target, let us use it like it was.
That out of range then do nothing should only be helper for new player. but really bad for creative playing, now I cannot use some movement skill to make a long jump because it is “out of range”…………………. So It should be an option which can be turn off.

This could be said of literally any skill with a cooldown. By this logic all skills shouldn’t be usable if they have a chance of failing. Why not make blinding powder unusable while you have revealed active; who needs blind and a blast finisher.

There are ways around this that usually involve changing your skill rotation against classes that enter stealth easily, such as waiting to use your steal until after they are revealed when their stealth ends. This change just lowers the skill ceiling of thief a bit to help new or inexperienced thieves feel less punished, which is not something this class is in need of right now.
