Adding Utility to Under-Used Skills (PvP)

1. The reason most people don’t use Stomp is because of the long cooldown, and the fact it can be so easily negated with a dodge/block/balance/etc.
2. Berserker stance is garbage, but if you want a signet that refills your adrenaline instantly then use Signet of Fury. It already does that.
3. I agree Throw Bolas is hard to land, but changing it to a pull wouldn’t be a Bola. However, I do really like the idea of a long range pull ability like harpoon on land.
4. Shouts and banners are often used in pvp. A lot of shout builds utilize the healing trait and are very effective already. Banners just got a buff and are often seen in WvW.

It seems you missed the point multiple times.
1. Yes, that is part of it but the fact that taking Stomp also means that you can not take something else. Having a stun break would make bringing Stomp more viable in addition to it being more likely to hit, not to mention traiting it give it a cooldown comparable to Balanced Stance.
2. I just said it was garbage, which is why giving it a condi removal effect would actually make you want to bring it, and I said that there as a signet that gives adren better, I was referring to Signet of Fury.
3. The name doesn’t matter as much as the functionality, the could change the name for all I care but the fact remains warrior needs a pull more than another immobilize.
4. The banner changes are more for SPvP, in fact I hardly consider WvW PvP in the first place considering how close to PvE it is.

WHAT BUFF? they are still on par with signets statwise. Anet cleverly buffed banners before to make it seem like warriors were getting buffed when it was really just to make banners not completely useless when they introduced their next patch
1. Stomp
becoming a stun breaker alone is not enough since there are many better at a lower cooldown without traiting. It should break stun [and] have a lower cooldown (maybe 35 sec)
2. Berserkers Stance could grant immunity to bleeding and blind for 8 sec that way it has utility beyond gaining adrenaline.
3. Throw Bolas can become a 2 activation skill, that way when it lands you can activate it a second time to pull. That way you have a choice between immobilizing them and pulling them to you.
4. Banners. I think a simpler change would be to allow the skill to be resummoned at your position when you activate it a second time (cooldown 30s, 4 chances to resummon) that way it could get around being immobile. Those passive ideas could become a part of the banner skills that way there is more reason to pick up/use them.
And change powerful banners to make banners knockback when they are summoned and when you use skill 5
I also don’t hear many people arguing for the viability of kick, they could just reduce its cooldown to 12 seconds so its close to something like air blast on the flamethrower.
It would have value in your skill bar because it is a low CD CC

I saw a banner once in sPvP… a Warrior was lying dead next to it.

do you think the stats helped him a lot in the downed state? Could you target his dead body and see if the stat boost was effecting him still?
Instead of banners, Warriors should just carry white flags.
Stomp is not completely terrible. It lot less buggy that bull charge
I think that making bull charge and small aoe attack like kick will make it more reliable a not miss as often
I agree with your points on these skills a lot. Changing Throw Bolas to a pull mechanic would totally make me consider it along side some other skills like Bull’s Charge. As a pull in PvP it would be really fun to use! When it lands it’s nice and the immobilize is great but I find it more useful in PvE than in PvP. A pull is really strong though so I’d probably toss something in there to make you think about using it like putting the other 2 utility skills on recharge for 5 seconds if it connects.
The Stomp ability already feels very powerful to me so I feel the recharge is good, adding the stun breaker would give another option to Balanced Stance which is awesome having a choice. Do you choose more defense against control effects or do you slot something more offensive. I’d like to see something thrown in for underwater on the Physicals as well to make it more appealing if they are traited into.
Berserker’s Stance removing a condition would add a lot of play to that skill. If it were to remove conditions I would surely take it if I was running hammer or mace. I might limit the conditions removed to Blind and Cripple so other classes still have some play against it. Another interesting functionality I think would be cool is to have Berserker’s Stance make your next 3 attacks apply a random condition to a foe. Sort of the way Drunken Blow worked in Guild Wars 1. Although removing conditions for sure might be more useful.
Banners I don’t play much with in PvP the stat bonuses are good but as you pointed out other skills outshine them utility wise. Having an extra class mechanic button would take a little getting used to and I might be a little lazy for liking having just a single profession mechanic skill button :P I do like the idea of carrying them around though it’d certainly make them more considerable. It’s hard to fit something like a physical object that you place down and that stays there into fast paced combat like gw2’s.

I don’t PvP but I fail to see how Berserker stance is garbage compared to Signet of Fury. Yes Signet of Fury is instant and has a passive, but, when used properly Berserker stance can give 4 bars of adrenaline. You just have to use your Burst Skill as it’s about to fill up

I’m still trying to figure out how to make my signets buff my allies.
Give me an epic pull like Kohler has. Or our own version of Scorpion Wire. I could destroy people with a skill like that.

I think Juggernaut should let you keep your weapon and healing skills. Then just make the utilities replaced by kick, dash and stomp.
Or they can just give you the stability alone
