I’ll keep this as short as possible and simple.
Played something about 20 matches with it, so far win ratio (about 75-%) is positive up in queue.
The older matches in the screenshot are actually a less (much less) optimized build http://i.imgur.com/muddbad.png

The build is ‘hybrid’ interrupt Power/Condition.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vJAQNApeUnMdAVhgdhAmhAEliFjAzIAsBzZIjgVwJ4t4ecjuA-TpRBABccIAsvMQzPAgA3fAjTAAAHBAA

Mainly a 1v1 – Node holding build BUT (as VODs will show.) also excels at small scale skirmishes.
—-
The build focuses on controlling the enemy through punishing interrupts while not banking your entire damage output on condis/interrupts.

Briefing -
Weapon Sets
Mace-Shield – set provides most of the interrupts and very valuable blocks that warrior currently feels like it thirsts for.
Skullgrinder – is MVP is most fights, provides a significant burst and if (and should be) used as interrupt, puts the enemy instantly on the back-foot.
Rifle – set equips the warrior with ranged weapons ontop of access to another interrupt that hits the target and anything around it as well. (Rifle butt.)
Gun flame – The skill that made me think of ’hybrid’ness. provides both power and condi damage.
Though rifle is most often considered a troll weapon it proved to be useful in this spec.

Traits worth mentioning – (Defense-Strength-Berserker)
Defense
Shield Master – trait provides increased damage from both might (That increases damage of both power and condi alike) stacks and reflect, procs off both Shield Stance and Counter Blow
Last Stand – Since this build doesn’t feel like it can utilize Cleansing Ire too easily, I decided to take advantage of Last Stand which also increases the duration of the 3 stances this build is running. Stomped a target countless times thanks to it, as well.
Important to note Last Stand procs BEFORE you get interrupted, meaning you can continue stomping (or fighting) without being interrupted.

Strength
Body Blow – Helps ramping up the condi-damage while also increases survivability indirectly through weakness application.
Distracting Strikes – Ramps up condi damage.

Berserker
Savage Instinct – Helps with tiny bit of condi removal. Provides a stunbreaker.
Always Angry (Minor trait) – Helps boost up the ‘hybrid’ damage.
Blood Reaction – The build consists of 32-33% crit chance. Making this a viable trait. (Better than the other two traits anyways, for this spec.)
Eternal Champion – Helps you stay on your feet while you pop that berserker.

Runes and Sigils –
Rune of the Traveler – Since the build does not run discipline, and warrior is having tough time sticking to targets as is. I decided to go for this rune, not only does it boost all of the stats which is valuable for this spec. It also boosts condi duration slightly (10%) along with 25% MS you miss from not having Warrior’s Sprint.

Mace Shield set -
Sigil of Bursting – Helps boosting up condi damage.
of Doom – Helps reducing healing of enemies, may be used as cover-condi as well.
Rifle set –
Sigil of Force – Helps with Gun Flame mainly and also generally amplifies damage.
of Leeching – Bit of sustain.

Amulet – Viper’s Amulet. The amulet that makes this possible provides with everything necessary in the damage department for this build to function.

Full match VOD to STRENGTHEN my 2nd comment

This VOD shows that even when playing “yolo skill spam” you can still be viable fighter.
Granted the people in this match aren’t top notch, the point remains proven to a certain degree.
Disclaimer / Post script I was ranked 50 on leaderboards, currenlty placed 71 on the dead leaderboard due to decay. So I’m not ‘clueless’ about the player skill, I obviously take it to account when I consider whether a build is viable or not. <3

Tried a similar build when HoT launched, it was a too high risk, too low reward experience for me, that worked only 1/6 of the time. Though when it did work, it was great.

Both Headbutt and Skull Grind are imperative to hit, missing these abilities renders you useless for the next 20 seconds. No alternative to build up adrenaline.

I haven’t had any significant drawbacks (with this build) when I messed up one of these abilities (Headbutt / Skull grind) , I should (and will) gather more VODs, I realized ‘too late’ the build was actually working and didn’t gather enough material to show.
I generally don’t miss Skull grind and my adrenaline seems to be recharging fast enough to have another shot at if I messed up.
I tend to last long enough through stability of people, and generally I manage to force people out of their cooldowns to land the abilities comfortably.
Regarding headbutt, I use it almost exlcusively for the stunbreaker (while still trying to make use of the daze)

Regarding adrenaline building in general – I use the rifle 70% of the time for that purpose. As similar to Gw1s warriors and spears.
This build, in general feels ‘stable’ . The power damage and other plays you can pull off make up for bad interrupts (or no interrupts)

I can back this build, I run a very similar build.

Accept I do Mace/Torch, Sword/Shield and a little more focus on Condi. Running Carrion armor and weapons.

Mace works reaaaally well against most people. The key is headbutt, and mace zerker burst.

Its not overpowered, but well balance. The only thing that lacks is warrior sprint speed. Out of everything I miss fast hands isn’kitten Its the run speed.

But I make up for it sort with bull’s charge, sundering leap and sword savage leap.

Give it a shot, at first mace feels sluggish but zerking out with itmakes its rather formidable weapon.

Totally agree on the fast hands, I came to this conclusion as well. I play around the cooldowns of abilities, fast hands which has 5, usually is “too quick” for a ‘rotation’, meaning; in other builds I tried to run with fast hands (Because I was fixated on it, too.) I found myself switching to a weapon set which stilll has most of it’s skills disabled by cooldowns for another 3-4 seconds at the very least, without it, surprisingly, it feels more natural.
As for the remark about ‘balanced’ , that’s exactly what I was trying to say regarding this build, it feels ‘stable’ and ‘balanced’. Has an answer for most situations you’d face with decent results. Glad to see people came to same answers as I have <3

Tested this build out the other night. Great build, of course had problems with blind spams but it worked great in both 1 v 1’s, 2v1’s and team fights.
