Charr has the best animations for hammer, hands down, looks very feral and cool.

I love the Asura animations. There’s so much momentum and ferocity in their movements.

Not to mention, they look awesomely ridiculous if you pick some of the more over-the-top (shoulderpads!) juggernaut type armors. Instead of just looking ridiculous, like Norn and Humans.

How can a norn look ridicolous with a juggernaut armor?

I mean… IMHO Norns look cool with Orrian chestguard.

However…

IMHO gw2 should learn something from Dark Souls: armors can be realistic while looking really cool.

I would recommend trying various races out in Heart of the Mists, try out various weapons, preview armors as a warrior.

It’s really best to see for yourself.

Most charr animations are pretty bad. Which is par for the course as far as charr are concerned.

Sylvari are fun to look at as long as you’re okay with being as skinny as a twig.

Best, well I personally preffer the human and the charr , the charr is for me the BEST warrior type race. Looks like a beast, fights like a beast, runs like a beast growls and talks heavy and loud, and we all know that in every game the warrior is the beast. Just by looking at it the charr strikes somewhat fear, it is actually the highest race no matter that it can be seen only by putting charr and norn side by side and /salute , also the very lore behind them is warrior-ish, they preffer raw power before magic which is warrior-ish again xD (yes yes they do have incredibly powerful shamans). Also their armor doesn’t look beautiful it looks strong and heavy. I don’t what else to say, they are just way better as a warrior than any other race.

About the humans… well they are humans, we watch movies with human knights barbarian warriors etc… it’s normal to have human, also having a warrior that is likely to be though as weak and being underestimated and then to destroy their enemies is kinda cool (insert asura too)

But in the end I think the charr is just the best warrior option we have

The charr make sense as a warrior and there tier 3 heavy is awesome!

The lore behind them is more shamanistic and Engineer-like than the Humans or the Norn (well…maybe not the Norn…they’re pretty Native American rip-off-ish). Hell the Iron Legion invented Engineers.

And they weren’t the tallest race in GW1. Originally, the Charr were slightly taller than Humans but only when they stood upright. Go fight in some early levels and see. What gets me is that they shortened the Norn in GW2 and made the Charr bigger. Why? What was the significance of that?

The armor doesn’t look beautiful, strong, or heavy. It looks like someone took Human armor and cartoon-style stretched it over their bodies. Its mostly ugly, somewhat bearable, and all-around wrong-looking. The only stuff that actually looks good is the cultural Charr-only armor. That’s because it was designed for Charr characters.
