I both like and dislike it.
Like: Can land Final Thrust easier.
Like: Obviously a longer stun.
Dislike: Only applies to one attack on one weapon.
Bloodlust provides + damage across the board.
Where do I weigh it? IDK. Needs more testing to determine how often I have full bloodlust up vs. not.
Been playing around with this. Pretty much the same build, but I think it’ll give you a higher dps output. But I’m not good with all the number crunching :P

Actually, I believe that would be a significant damage decrease and sustain decrease.
150 power
20% more dmg at 50%
or
10% more dmg if bleeding
10% crit dmg
3% dmg per boon
From what I remember raw power is always better then modifiers. Like I said I’m not good with number crunching.

20% under 50% is not a good way to measure damage.
That means you’re purposely trying to sit below that number, which is extremely unwise in PvP. The only time that it could possibly work to boost your damage is if you were in the last throws / moments of your ‘life’. But at that point you should be disengaging or trying to bide time for your heal.
150 power is great sure, but +20% damage at almost a 100% uptime at 66% chance to crit (76% if with sword). Not even factoring in DOTE damage since, like Desperate Power. The +20% through bleed and crit damage wins out on a consistent damage boost.
Then you also are ditching Furious which is extremely important for a Longbow build in order to sustain F1 placements every 8 seconds.
Edit:
I’m most certain now. In the above analysis I was considering the 20% I’m running as +20% crit damage, when in reality it is +10% Damage, +10% Crit Damage. This skews the consistency numbers even further for the current build.

Alright that makes sense. So if I’m trying to get more dps out of it, something like:
0/25/25/10/10 would be better. Since you get 10% from bleeds, 150 power, and 5% of tough is power. I’m not too worried about Furious.

depends on how much toughness you have, if your sitting between 1300-1500, thats a power boost of like 57-60 power
Or you can get +5% crit damage and have fast hands.
Seeing as how I can’t play this class without fast hands anymore, that would be my suggestion.
I also won’t play a Longbow build without Furious simply put, stick it on a point and in 6 seconds you’re at full adren again and ready for the cooldown to finish. That sort of consistency to play the F1 down (which is arguably your biggest damage dealer), is important to me.

However, I was thinking… how many access to teleport do thieves have in tournaments? Is there the risk I bait their teleport, immobilize them, and they can just evade/teleport again?
They have a lot of teleports, far more than 1. Expect like 3.

I realized Arcing slice is not so bad to apply some extra spike to the damage. Do you think it might be back to give up rune of hoelbrak for rune of lyssa, dropping my power to 1830?
And I also realized I need signet of stone more than endure pain. So yeah, I’m basically a signet warrior.XD
However, not getting critical is a bit annoying. I might need to swap Soldier’s amulet for berserker, then use rune of melandru. Or Hoelbrak and soldier’s jewel.

I’m pretty new to warrior, having only been playing in PvP since friday; I started using OP’s build yesterday and although I’m not very good with the long bow just yet, I’m really enjoying it. Good AoE damage, good burst (specially when they are under 50% health) and pretty good survivability with Cleansing Ire and the shield trait. Makes a nice change to be able to throw down a field, and a darn good one at that!
I am however running the sigil of para on shield cause it makes getting sword #3 much easier.
@Interpret Interrupt: Maybe someone already told you but Sigil fo Earth has an internal 2s cooldown, even if not stated in the description. It was introduced some months ago to prevent Bleed-spamming builds.

Then factor in Fury uptime vs. downtime, if it’s uptime is 30 seconds on a 48sec cd (SoR), thats 62.5% uptime, which is an average of 12.5% + crit.
So your real crit chance (on average) is more like:
31% base crit chance.
+12.5% with fury
+7.5% with Heightened focus
= 51% crit chance.
Teach your kids Excel and basic math, force them into theorycrafting.
Make a margarita and reap the rewards while simultaneously touting your childrens adept mathematics skill.

I still wouldn’t peg it at +20% 100% of the time. Maybe +17-18% if you include furious, but they may overlap and fights may last longer then expected.

When I mentioned Hammer as being viable, I did not say it was paired with Longbow. The hammer build is a separate build.
I really don’t recommend running Hammer + ranged weapon, but Hammer Sword Shield is viable against teams where they run limited stun breaks or stability (Necros).
Currently, everyones running Necros due to their buffs. Hammer is very solid against them. When the ‘meta’ settles out and people stop running 2-3 necros, you’ll see Hammer no longer become viable. Hence why I originally mentioned it has a limited time frame to be useful.
I can completely agree with this. This is my biggest problem with running a cc build right now is how bad it is against lots of professions. On the other hand, if you see two necros on the other team, running a cc build is akin to getting your team two free kills.
I’ve been playing a build like this for quite awhile now, pre-patch it was 0/30/0/10/30. The biggest difference with yours is I’m going for the condition damage over physical, some minor trait choices, and using warhorn over shield. I’m going to give the Zerker version a try and see if I like it better. What’s your take on using Runes of Strength? Similar to Hoelbrak but a bit more offense with the damage than the condi mitigation
@Interpret Interrupt: Maybe someone already told you but Sigil fo Earth has an internal 2s cooldown, even if not stated in the description. It was introduced some months ago to prevent Bleed-spamming builds.

Warrior vs. Warrior are the most interesting duels in this game, because warrior really needs skill and also is a balanced class. If I see eles dueling I’m nearly vomitting.

And a warrior kicking another class in the kitten is even more epic: you fight on uneven ground, yet you succeed.

The difference should be small, and Berserker’s power should be more effective.
However, there’s also the problem about the fact that crits might make the difference between life and death: a lucky spite might make the enemy not in position of healing. And healing is our worst enemy. Can we take into account that?

Been practicing with the build still and running some tournies. Definitely still really digging it, awesome build that works well. I seem to survive better than you would expect running a Zerker amulet and the damage is great. Makes for a very solid roamer.

I tried the build out yesterday in spvp randoms and found it very fun and fairly strong. I’ve always been a big fan of the longbow in pvp/wvw/pve and I"m glad to see a build that really lets it shine. Coupled with the new control and burst damage ability of the sword we may have something here.

I’m no pro warrior yet, but I would guess that a Mace/Shield and Hammer build would be pretty screwed in the current meta with blinds flying around everywhere on both weapon sets being melee and slow telegraphed swings.

Well, at base, Berserker’s Power comes out ~13% better. Even with full Knight’s (which favors Heightened Focus) and a setting where the 12% makes the difference between 100% and not 100% (which is the ideal setup for Heightened Focus), Berserker’s Power comes out at ~8% better.
So if you have to choose between 20/x/x/x/30 and 30/x/x/x/20, the former is always better.

It’s not really something that you can put a number to.

It’s a built in keyboard for windows 8, virtual keyboard.
So, I’ve been thinking about the build and I’d like someone to run the math for me. If you were to take 10 points out of arms you would lose the 10% damage increase vs bleeding foes, but if you put said points into Discipline and got Burst mastery and ran this:

…would you end up dealing more DPS due to increased critical damage, 10% more damage on Combustive Shot, and using said shot more frequently? It’s just something I’ve been wondering.
EDIT: With this you could also drop Deep Cuts for Unsuspecting Foe so that the Shield Bash+ Final Thrust combo has a 100% chance to crit, which is really nice for ensuring that it actually finishes them off (adjusted build).
EDIT 2: So I tested the variant and indeed did see greater damage on Combustive Shot and actually was able to use it more frequently.

I think you’re under estimating the importance of Furious in the overall uptime of Longbow F1. Dropping 10pts from Arms will really reduce your Adren regeneration at a range.
And you lose Attack of opportunity. With whom you can have the same bonus as burst mastery, but with every skill.

Been trying this build out in PvE, and it works fine there as well. It has a different play style then the typical melee GS + A/x build, but once you get used to mixing range and melee and using your burst LB AOE on cool down (LB bursting at your feet, standing in the fire field, switching to S/x to melee/stack bleeds, repeat), it is quite engaging to play. It also works with pretty much any off hand you like. You might get some comments about why is your Warrior using a bow and not a GS, so be prepared!
It been fine in the few dungeons I’ve run with it so far, but it does do less DPS than the standard DPS 30/0/0/10/10 GS + A/M build. I’m not very good with numbers, so could someone give me an estimate of how much less DPS this build would do over the standard DPS one?
