Endure Pain stealth-change
Yeah, its 4 seconds. Not wanting to trust the tooltips i timed it aswell and ignoring the 0.23 increase due to how slow i am at pressing stop on my phone’s stopwatch it’s 4 seconds.
I’m not that bothered about nerfs, i can usually adapt, i just want info like this to be in the patch notes.
So they reduced the quickness on frenzy, kept the 50% increased damage taken, and then increased the duration….
Then they reduce the duration of the one skill that’ll help us deal with the 50% increased damage taken so that we can’t avoid having to take that unnecessary 50% extra damage?
I swear the devs have it out for PvP warriors……

It sure seems that way!
Cmon..Endure Pain was op, its needed nerf../sarcasm
Wasn’t it actually 4 seconds before, but with an incorrect tooltip?
I thought it was 3 seconds with an incorrect tooltip, but my pessimistic attitude may account for the other second :P
yet they have done nothing to help with condition removals. Thats where EP has never helped. pretty disappointed in the changes
Doom Strykër [Warr] Doom Ryder [Ranger]
Doomku [Guard] Doom Wrack [Mez]
I was pretty sure this was always an incorrect tooltip, and was actually 3s duration.
Could it have been a stealth buff?!
The tool tip showed 5 seconds, but it was always 3.
It now shows 4 and lasts 4.
It’s a stealth buff
Although come on… 60s CD please.
The CD is ridiculous.

It was 3 but listed as 5, now its 4 and listed as 4. Seems like a buff to me.
Even the wiki listed it at 3, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Endure_Pain
The 60 second cooldown was to deter us from using the skill and consider others. Funny enough people still use it, what does that say about our other skill options?
THAT my friends is exactly the current state of Warrior. It truly is that bad.

It’s 90s 0_0… I WISH it was 60 seconds hahaha
But yea, totally understand what you mean.
It’s rather sad -.-..
60 seconds for 4 seconds of damage immunity, not condi, not cc, is still abysmal

EP was never 3 seconds.
People did stopwatch tests and I myself noted that EP buff ended when CD timer hit 85, it was obviously 4 or 5 before.
Mist Form
75 second cooldown
3 seconds of invuln
Breaks stun
Locks the ele out of his weapon skills for the duration
Status: Overpowered, must have ability
Endure Pain
90 second cooldown
4 seconds of invuln
Breaks stun
Does not lock the warrior out of his weapon skills for the duration
Status: “abysmal”
Makes perfect sense.
we may consider whether or not there is an incarnation of [ele] that would be viable
but balanced. For now, we do not expect it to see serious use.” – ANet
Endure pain is not invuln. Incoming physical damage is reduced to zero, but every other source of damage / cc / whatever gets through.

Yes, but most of the damage you take in PvP is direct damage and that’s generally what I want to prevent when I pop an invuln. I would +1 changing it to make you immune to condis, but it’s not the difference between OP must have and abysmal. Mist form is an objectively better purely defensive skill, but I don’t think it’s better or worse as a total skill. The ability to use all of your weapon powers while immune to direct damage is very strong.

Insightful. Would rather have mist form on war though – imo, it’s more useful for them. Nice variation.
[HL] Deadly Protection @ Sanctum of Culling
There was no change to EP. I personally tested both EP and DP a little less than a month ago or so. I used fraps to record my several tests in 30fps and I played it back in Sony Vegas with an accurate counter.
Results were:
EP nontraited: 4 secs
EP traited: 5 secs
DP nontraited: 3 secs
DP traited: 3 secs
I guess they just “fixed” the tooltip.

It does when you get all the facts straight.
Endure Pain doesn’t stop condis and CC like others have said, and if you think that doesn’t matter then you obviously haven’t played very many tourneys as a warrior. Almost everytime you pop EP you die from conditions or you get CC’d into uselessness until the duration is up anyway.
Mist form has a 75 second CD, that’s 15 seconds faster then EP, plus it can be specced to regen you at the same time. It’s necessary for eles cause they can use it quite often and it is a very reliable defensive skill.
EP is neither a reliable defensive or offensive skill on a very long CD, thus it being abysmal.

Curious if D kitten till 3 seconds after the tool-tip fix.

Opinions vary. I consider being immune to direct damage (easily 80%+ of all damage reported in my average death breakdown) while I can go fully offensive and try to kill my opponent without worrying about being spiked down a very powerful ability.
Like I said, Mist Form is a better purely defensive skill, but you’re not a threat to anyone when it’s used.
We’ve obviously had very different experiences. I time EP when I see an opponent loading up a burst, and then happily watch as they blow their cooldowns on my invulnerable face.
The emo attitude of some warriors is getting ridiculous.

Personally my death breakdown is usually bleeds. It’s a personal issue where I sometimes forget to keep track of my conditions.
As for high bursts just dodge at the right time, I rarely get hit with any high bursting moves/combos unless I’m already in a larger fight in which case I wouldn’t have EP up anyway (or I’d have used it and it’s 90 second CD wouldn’t be up yet).
Plus shield block is nice for thieves, I love watching them disappear, using shield 5, then seeing 6-7 “Block” notices pop up lol
But anyway it’s not an “emo attitude” as you keep trying to bring this back too, the skill sucks and is quite unusable in terms of usefulness in a tourney match, end of story cause that’s the fact of the matter. How many times have you tried to burst down an ele just to have them use MF? 90% of the time, it’s why most people always try to force it out before the big burst. On the other hand how many times have you had to force a warriors EP out? It’s extremely uncommon and even more so in tourneys.
