Q/A Interview with GW2s' best warrior.
Shouldn’t you be sitting outside AC with your commander tag? The skelks are getting restless.
any good build for solo roaming wvwvw?
How do you fight classes with incredible sustain? (Ele, Guardian, Engi) ?
any tips for dungeon tanking?
any good build for solo roaming wvwvw?
I consider this a great question, in part. This is where most warriors are having their difficulties. But simply put the answer to “What’s a good build for WVW solo” Is going to either be useless or geared completely against what you truly need and want.
I’m recommending you linking me to one of the builds you find yourself using or have had best luck with. Gw2buildcraft.com is what I’d recommend. Then I could give you my thoughts and recommendations.
Simply asking for a good wvw solo build or a build in general is like asking me which piece of steak is good, it’s too broad of a question.

Look at the top, and you’ll see a thread named “My warrior build” or something, look in there. I have atleast written out a short but (I think) handy build guide for solo roaming in there, and I’m sure there’s a few others aswell.
And to the topic maker, what the kitten man? I don’t know your name at all but I know alot of other warriors names that are extremely good, and none of them claims to be the best warrior of GW2. Chill out, go play. You’re not the best warrior in GW2, undoubted.

This.
Proclaiming yourself the best Warrior in the game with zero evidence is like stickying a target on your head saying “please toss cakes on my face, I’m a clown”.

Thanks, I’m glad you can cover for me while I take a bathroom break.
What a nice homage thread for Defektive.
I am surprised I could still comment in this thread with all the ego filling it.
Why does the warrior forums smell like lotion and feel like shame?
I accidentally trap ranger yesterday, how fix?
Also, how do I offhand skritt?
Why not start with builds you think work well in certain situations like, wvw and corresponding roles, pve and corresponding roles, and dungeons and corresponding roles, and fractals and corresponding roles.
These should occupy your time, thread starter.
Always Loyal
Dear sir, thank you for taking the time to help others.
My question: between Power, Prowess and Precision, what is the most important and in what order should we spec these.
I’d be inclined to max my power, then go into precision and finally prowess. What’s
your input?
Lets turn this into a ‘good warrior youtube videos’ thread and count the number of videos with frenzy GS builds! Go!
You can watch my smattering of videos but no frenzy GS for me.
Come to Fort Aspenwood if you have a strong desire to pvp in world vs world.

Trying to find the leader boards for best players of their classes, and cannot find them. I went to the Camelot Herald, but apparently they don’t cover gw2. Where I go to find this?
Hey guys I’m GW2 best warrior, nice of you to make a thread for me.
You should spec 0/0/30/10/30 use shaman’s armor/trinkets. Wield a mace/axe and a mace/shield. Use healing signet, frenzy, signet of fury and dolyak signet with rampage as your elite.
Traits. Defense: Sure-footed, Last Stand, Embrace the Pain.
Tactics: Stronger Bowstrings
Discipline: Thrill of the Kill, Inspiring Shouts, Warrior’s Sprint
Sigil of Chilling on all weapons. Rune of Svanir on armor. Trust me, I’m the best warrior because I said so
(Disclaimer: May cause character injury or death and increased chance of rage quit)
Why in the world would you consider a solo wvw build question a good question vs. how to beat high sustain classes like d/d ele?
This tells me you probably don’t pvp much.
And how do you know you are the best warrior?
Defektive I just fixed my stream so I will let you know how it goes
So much testosterone, I mean ego… is it hot in here?
Thanks for the perma grin.

Defektive has a QA thread? Bout time.
Dear Defektive: A while back my GW2 Warrior and I broke up. I thought in the beginning that my ex truly was what I wanted, but after the initial excitement of the new relationship (I had dated previous Warriors before in other worlds and been fairly happy before I had to move away) I realized that my ex was very needy and fairly apathetic. Sure my ex was good for a quickie, busting a load in a moment of frenzy, but there was no sustain or stamina. My ex was constantly getting sick and needing outside intervention to remain healthy. As I looked around at the other choices out there I realized that my ex performed every role in a fairly substandard fashion. Sure my ex would go through the motions, but the results were average at best aside from the aforementioned minute-man style quickies.
I moved on and found others that filled my needs better. Maybe not all of them at the same time, but a fair number of them performed to excellence. Still, I do miss my ex and wish it could have worked out between us.
Do you have any advice? Is there any hope for my ex? How can I stop feeling unsatisfied with my ex’s mediocrity compared to others and is there a chance that my ex will improve?

Is dual sword an viable option? Does it beat axe in terms of damage?

Black Gate – Immortals of the Mist [IoM]
I know this is a troll thread. But I also know that some good warriors will chuckle to themselves and look at this thread. Anywho, the situation.
Any good warrior knows that his worst fight are against foes that slow his movement, burst him down from range, teleport, and can stealth. [Going to not mention perma-buff foes since they are supposedly getting nerfed, so it excludes Guardians and Elementalist.]
Mainly I’m talking about the Mesmer and Thief class. These guys burst pretty kitten hard, can keep me at bay with any movement impairment skills and kill me, or, I get them to a point where I may win and they just pop their escape skills, which will not work the other way should I try to get away.
I’m not talking about new or bad players either, I could stomp bad thieves and mesmers all day. I can spot a real mesmer from a crowd of clones in no time [but not without getting hurt/ crippled in the process]. I know if they immobilize me they are going to do a burst or run, and I know how to respond accordingly, but I’ll either not have the ability to keep them in place long enough to do decent damage, or the means to outlive their damage.
Bursting them is also exceptionally hard. No thief goes anywhere without Shadowstep or some form of stealth. And mesmers don’t go anywhere without their Blink, and their built-in distortion [and sometimes Phase Retreat, I don’t even know why a Weapon Skill has that, but that is a different discussion]. I am also more than likely to be crippled in the confrontation, further hindering my melee.
I’m not saying I should win every fight, but kitten There are times when warrior just cannot cut it.
Anyways, suggestions, thoughts? Are we badly designed? Is thief and mesmer badly designed? Both?

My personal experience I can general deal with thiefs, as I have enough toughness that they cant burst me and tend to go down after a couple of attacks. The real issues for me are confusion mesmer / engi. I have no way to consistently remove these conditions.
Crit damage without precision is bleh. Power> precision> crit damage
Regardless of you crit damage, crit hits harder then regular. You can have 60% crit damage and never be able to use it because precision too low
I would say you have to balance precision and crit damage and look at each number individually.
Check the table on: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Critical_hit
There you get a pretty good impression how to perfectly balance crit chance and crit damage.
Lets turn this into a ‘good warrior youtube videos’ thread and count the number of videos with frenzy GS builds! Go!

Yeah this is a very common mistake. Too common. Warriors are built for bers gear up to fotm 30 in pve. Always. And at that point you change spec.. not gear.
Having trouble with your warrior class? Shoot a question in this thread you might just see it answered!
Yeah I am, the warrior is now hands down the worst sPvP class and I can’t get my hands on any good warrior builds that can work OUTSIDE of hotjoins.
I mean in all seriousness you can just be a good warrior and stomp people in hotjoins (maybe besides d/d eles ofc), no matter what build/weapons you’re using.
But for tPvP and competitive play, IS THERE A BUILD FOR WARRIORS ATM AT ALL!? Or should I just give up on warriors in PvP until Anet actually gives us something we can use?
Cause I mean I might as well just go thief for the damage role on a tPvP team….. higher burst, more survivability, more mobility, more team support, and in some cases even more control :/
(And warrior couldn’t and still can’t fill any other role viably on a tourney team, so that’s why I only brought up the damage role)

Won’t be seeing too many more of those….. lol

Mesmer for burst and 1v1, Ele for bunker/roam, Guardian for mid-bunker.
There’s your GW2 meta. Take your pic. Everything else is suboptimal, with warriors at the very bottom.
I thought meta was 1 bunker guardian for mid, 1 mesmer for home point guard, and 3 eles for roaming/burst/bunker/support all at once lol
Omg, ty. this was a much needed laugh after the nerf. I’m glad some people still have a sense of humor >.<
